LifeSaver (water purifier) Jerry Can Fitment in MV Mounts

I'm digging those LAV25 dual jerry can mounts...

    Re-gear with smaller tire options?

I'm looking to re-gear my m1078. I've seen lots of discussion on here about 3.07 versus 2.87 either with or without larger tires. the general consensus seems to be that with my A0, 3.07 plus larger tires is not ideal, and 2.87 with the stock size is not either, at least not without adding power...

Things I am really glad I did to LMTV

Can I get some details on the "Eaton spool-locker thing"? I might want one.

    Break out box diagram/pin-outs?

Thanks Ronmar. This is great info. I downloaded all of the manuals first thing, but I spent an hour this morning digging through them and not finding what I needed (and getting super sidetracked by other tidbits). I'll PM you my email for those schematic files, thanks.

    Break out box diagram/pin-outs?

I'm looking to add some creature comforts to my LMTV to make it more suitable for civilian life, mainly cruise control, remote start, and cab/block heaters. To make this happen I need to tie into the electrical system for battery, switched power, brake signal, speed signal, etc. I've seen...

Upgrade to "CTIS Control Unit "B""?

Noticed this on FleaBay. Wondering if it's possible to mod this into my A0? Never liked the CTIS controller just slapped on like an afterthought. IF I could make this work, I might just re-arrange the gauges and work this into the panel.

    Computer or radio dash mount

Yes. While looking at the better pics of the computer platform, it looks like it was designed for a computer with a separate screen. Or maybe this was for a keyboard and screen, and the "power supply" was really the CPU.

    Computer or radio dash mount

I did find one on fleabay. Beefy.

    Computer or radio dash mount

I'd love to know if one could be easily modified to hold a MacBook. I don't think it would fit inside the cage like whatever the military was using, but maybe with some hacking and cutting, end up with a flat bottom section and just velcro a MacBook on there. I'd love to have something better...

    Computer or radio dash mount

Yeah.... but I did like the one pictures as it look like total beef, and not some cheap plastic crap. It's the only one I've seen to date that's made to bolt to a flat dash, whereas most other mounts are made to mount to the floor using one of the seat bolts. As for the power supply... I wonder...

    Winch line capacity

BTW, I found a seller on Flea Bay. this seems like it might be the way to go. If the drum holds 305 feet of 7/16 steel, then how much 3/8 synthetic would fit? If 500 feet does nto fit, I'd just lop off the extra and splice in a loop on each end for an extender or other rigging.

    Computer or radio dash mount

Saw this pic on iron planet. This LMTV has what looks like a beefy laptop mount. I kind of want one. Anyone have one they would part with, or at least know what it is?

    Winch line capacity

This is exactly what I was thinking, only I was looking into making or modifying a snatch block that could just be un-pinned for use, and re-pinned for storage. What I'm not sure of is the line routing from one end or the other. getting from the winch to either the front or rear was how it was...

    Winch line capacity

Yeah, this info has me looking at a 600 foot spool of 3/8 amsteel. $1800, but it would be epic. As for the rollers and synthetic... synthetic does fine as long as the rollers are not nicked up. I figure I'll pull the old rollers and touch them up, or turn them down on a lathe and sleeve them...

    Is the stock line 1/2"?

Looking for info on strange ammo box

Unknown. I have not seen one in twenty years, and since I cannot find any other pictures or info on them, I'm kind of stuck. I was king of hoping someone who has been around tanks or armored vehicles would recognize it. I knew it was a long shot. In searching last night, I seem to recall that...

    Winch line capacity

I have a complete winch setup coming (hopefully) off a 5-ton truck. Anyone know what the line capacity is on these? I'm thinking of replacing the aged steel cable with some nice synthetic, probably 1/2". I don't want to order line, only to find out it only fills half the drum. Also, related...

    "New member" status

I was wondering.... I've been a member here for what will be 18 years in a few weeks. How long does one need to be around before they are no longer listed as "new"?

Looking for info on strange ammo box

Back in the day, circa, 2000, my local military surplus store had bunch of white metal ammo boxes with feet on each side for bolting it down. I bought several over the years to use on various vehicles as they were perfect for bolting to the front bumper of a Jeep for storing chains, shackles...
