    LMTV Air Conditioner

I have not seen this style before. However, I did consider that the LMTV specific unit was just a metal box with heat and A/C bits in it. It would not be hard to make a similar metal box and put in a Vintage Air heat and A/C unit in it. I still might go that route, but these back wall units are...

LMTV air compressor health/time to build air pressure

I'm trying to gauge the health of my air compressor. If I drain the tanks and start it and let it idle, how long should it take to build max pressure? Seems like mine takes 2-3 minutes. Is that "normal"?

    LMTV Air Conditioner

I'm not 100% sure with the 3126, but I looked at the 3116 that GM put in some of the Topkick trucks. Every one I found had the A/C brackets on the passenger side, which was made possible by running a much smaller civilian alternator on that side.

    LMTV headlight buckets rotated?

I was feeling pretty down about how terrible the headlights are in my new (to me) m1078. In cleaning the shop last week, I stumbled on a new set of cheap projector lamps (the kind that take a h4 bulb). I decided t swap them in real quick.... ugh... what a hassle. The Packard to h4 adapters I...

Has anyone used a Uhaul dolly to tow a M1009

I once used a U-Haul dolly to retrieve a 1009 from about 300 miles away. The tires hung off both sides of the tire well of the dolly. And the nylon tie downs did not reach. I had to use a chain and binder to strap it down. It barely fit, and was WAY overloaded. Completly unsafe. But made it...
