    M35A2 power steering options?

I adjusted the stops - but to allow more angle. The position they were in was unnecessarily restrictive. I have no rubbing or other issues with the kit. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

What did you do to your deuce this week?

@frank8003 The double-spring idea is a good one! I have to look into doing that.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

We have a good 2ft of snow on the ground and Spring thaw is still weeks away! Then the soil has to dry so I can actually park her on the grass. Weeks and weeks to go! :-(

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Info from TM 9-2320-361-24-1 work package 0070 00 1. Remove locknut (15) from threaded stud (16) and remove threaded stud (16) of ball joint ( 18 from lever (17). 2. Major rust repair help/ideas.

I think most sheet metal is 16 gauge. Washers...when butt welding a patch he tacks a few washers to one panel so the washers one half sticks out from the panel edge and gives the patch something to rest on/be welded to.

Finally bypassed the FDC in my deuce.

.....since removing the FDC without making any adjustments to the fuel quantity adjuster automatically leads to the fuel quantity injected being on the high side. The details will depend upon how the quantity setting was previously adjusted. High fuel quantity will increase power, but also drive...

    New M35A2 owner from CT!

With winch, drop sides and hard top. Nice score! Looks like you have the PM and emergency breakdowns covered. The dragging brakes could be a master cylinder in need of having the fluid return hole cleaned out or it could be an air pack problem. When you do the oil change, you will be underneath...

Just spitballing...winching out your own deuce while alone.

Before everything gets locked etc. here is some rear winch mounting ideas. I seriously consider doing this. I have a 17.5k winch sitting in the garage waiting for a new home. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/winch-mounting-plates.155748/

Decision on a knuckle boom crane.

Oh, that s*cks! Would you mind posting a video of the desaster? From the video above I cannot visualize why it wouldn't work. Lift main arm, swing extension arm all the way down, lower main arm and cradle. Or does it require a different stowing procedure? I suppose you could leave the crane...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I'd be curious how much they charge for a rebuild!

Just spitballing...winching out your own deuce while alone.

@montaillou You like to think outside the box. I like and admire that. Your idea about a portable winch is interesting. When you pull the truck sideways, it is because the thing is sunk and stuck. The additional force required to overcome the drag of sand or mud with wheels sunk in to the hub...

Just spitballing...winching out your own deuce while alone.

So many questions relate to basic winch operation. I do not want to "hijack" the thread, rather start at a level where even less experienced operators can join in. To get comfortable with the winch, I would suggest...

    C & C Shout out

Have dealt with them on several occasions. Always top notch. I wish they were close to me; it is one of the places I'd like to drop in with my Deuce.

Question/looking for help with the Inj. Pump Hydraulic Head.

Finally bypassed the FDC in my deuce.

Yes, the late so called "G code" injection pumps came without FDC from the factory. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

    starting question

The idea is to bump the starter (not hold the button down) with the shutoff pulled. If fluid had accumulated in the space between piston and head (because a headgasket leak or dripping injectors), the rotation would come to a dead stop. Hopefully with not enough force behind it to break...
