    Question on turn signal

It's not really a sealed unit when the green cap is off. Imagine this being driven in the sandbox with the green cap missing for a couple of weeks. It would be full of sand... Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

    M35A2 Transmission Fluid Change

Olden day horse traders turned car salesmen used to pour sawdust and wood chips into worn transmissions to stop the chatter and make them feel "tight" again. I'd really have trust issues with THAT. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Also factor in the ape operator problem. A solid lever with solid linkage operated by a 250 lbs moron can impart forces able to cause expensive breakage. A cable or air operated shifter limits (but not eliminates) the damage the ape can cause. The quest for idiot proof systems causes nature...

    Winch Questions

You may need the driveshaft for a multifuel as yours may be the drive shaft for the gas engine, depending on which vehicle the winch came from. I remember that there is a clearance issue with the gas driveshaft. People that have a w/w Gasser might chime in to a picture! Sent from my SM-G950W...

    preventable rear suspension failure

That is a fine piece of service work. The rear springs look like new.

"No problem". Never let your truck hear that! ;-) Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk

Dipstick, you just had to say the last bit. You couldn't help it. Oh, well. Those two words....

Getting the deuce road worthy....it begins!

The way this works is that you fix things so the truck works sufficiently for you to find out what else is broken. Initially, that may require a few beers on your part to adapt, but after that it is pretty painless. After all, you have the parts vendors book marked and the Deuce specific tool...

Dual wheels on front of a deuce

Regarding TRACKS around the rear wheels: I inquired with the manufacturer (see videos above) and a set of tracks to run around both rear drive tires would set you back about $10k. While it would be awesome and fun, it is too rich for me as a play thing. They recommend a set of tracks around the...

Please DO set up a camera and post a video of this epic sounding endeavour!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Dipstick, you know me already! :-) So far, winter is mild, a little snow, a little rain, generally just a bit below freezing. My theory is that every day without a foot of snow dropping from the sky is a win and makes real winter one day shorter. Let us know how it goes and good luck for the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

FWIW, I asked my friend who is a whiz heavy equipment mechanic and he pointed at his Milwaukee battery powered grease gun and said that this thing pushes old grease out like crazy. He said if the Milwaukee with the FUEL battery can't move it, he knows he has to disassemble the joint and clean it...

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

You have the noise standing still when PUTTING it into reverse - that suggests clutch to me. If it went into reverse fine but then resisted backing up and/or clunked, I would say parking brake.

    Exciting Deuce Update!

Good for you to get her running again! I know nothing, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt: 1) The sender on the block and the gauge need to be matched. There is a 60 psi set and a 120 psi set. Mixing sender/gauge causes bad readings. That is one thing to check. Otherwise, if there is...

M35A2 goes "clunk clunk clunk" in Reverse

Adjusting clutch pedal free play as per the TM? If it only made a clunking noise when backing up, I would have suspected the parking brake assembly/moustache spring.

    Sherpa winch took a dump

Ah, they are busy taking turns whipping the assistant seal installer. They'll get back to you after.

    NEED FUEL TANK

Your best option is an aluminium fuel tank from the M35A3. The steel fuel tank can be cleaned and cut/patch welded; from what you are describing, you would be better off with a good used takeoff. I have an intact one you can have for free but with the cost of the ride you'd be still better off...
