    Top and doors storage recomendations

The tops are more than just thin canvas. They are more or less a half an inch thick of rubberized (nylon?)canvas/insulation padding/nylon mesh. You can only fold them over once or twice before they are too thick to fold any further. I keep my good ones in the shed and the tattered two man cargo...

    Fuel cap hole?

It came straight from Ft. Hood as a non-runner. I'm on board with the air pressure port theory. The tank was bone dry and relatively clean...

    Speaking of Fuel Caps: Locking

I just put a bio diesel sticker on the tank. No body would steal your biodiesel or want to sabotage a fellow tree hugger. Psy-war-ops I did that to my Dodge Mega Cab 4x4 and you would not believe the good vibes that come your way.

    Fuel cap hole?

Yeah, I got a pipe plug to seal it off. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a missing vent, or NBC filter or some other weirdness. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

    Fuel cap hole?

I did a quick search here, and looked at the -24P and did not see anything that goes in this 1/4NPT hole in the fuel cap. Or is this cap not correct/original GI?

    Securing Tool access door

I used some extra rivets from the high back seat kit to help it blend in with all that rivet busyness.

    Securing Tool access door

Member Wire Fox saw a pic of my unsecured tool access door in another thread and asked if I had issues with it flopping in the wind. The answer is yes. I was hoping to stumble across a set of the hold down rubber latches for less than 20 bucks each. They are the same as on the back of the...

    HMMWv seats

Bet bet is get the high back seat kit. It had everything to do the two front seats complete. It was a fun one day project but big improvement. It includes a storage compartment under the drivers seat and WAY better adjustment. The "commanders side" (passenger) has some reinforcing plate to...

    HMMWV Wiper Arm Part Number

Do you want the military one, or just a normal wiper blade? Wiper arm NSN 2540012124959 wiper blade NSN 2540011997778 I retrofitted a plain ol 11" blade from autozone. Used the original arm and bolt. Took off the mil blade and removed the center pin of the civ blade and used that hole to bolt...

    HMMWv seats

I'm trying to keep mine original and to me, the high back seats are so much better than the early seat pads.

    Driveshafts

Can these slip yokes be assembled out of phase? My HMMWV has an aligning spline that soldier proofs the shaft assembly. All the u-joints on the HMMWV front shaft are out of phase with each other on purpose.

Differences in VIM modules? (and other Trans harness questions)

Man...you scared me there. Went and looked up the part numbers and the TM(24-P) shows the WTEC2 as being 29519627 Not sure what the small one is, though. It has a different part number that the listed WTEC3 and a different connector from the illustration

Differences in VIM modules? (and other Trans harness questions)

Huh...I was under the impression that the big one was WTEC2 and the smaller one was WTEC3

    Driveshafts

This thread made me check mine... I could see a faint "D" stamped in. The driveline angles on this thing are dictated by funky military requirements and not customer NVH complaints. Other reading I've done mentioned that the research into the vibration would best be fixed with RZEPPA style...

Differences in VIM modules? (and other Trans harness questions)

OK. Searched that part number and found this pic on Ebay So the small connector jives with the harness I got. Is the large connector the same no matter what year? I have an unknown year PDP/harness assembly that has the PX33 plug that fits that VIM that I will have to cut and graft onto my...

Differences in VIM modules? (and other Trans harness questions)

Im starting to piece together the trans wiring harness from the Frankenstein parts box. According to the TM, at the tail end of 20-5, I seem to have the TID 1 version of the transmission. Then there is this illustration... Im trying to figure out what VIM I need to go with and the...

Does the 3116 have a CDR valve?

Yes, that's how I found it, but I believe you are correct. I'm gonna tuck it back in. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
