Does the 3116 have a CDR valve?

Huh...looked them up. Odd combination of functions, but basically a rain hat for a hole in the block. For some reason it looks more involved than it is.

Does the 3116 have a CDR valve?

I believe that the crankcase fumes are handled by the thing on top of the secondary fuel filter housing. Not sure how though. I'd like to see how it functions.

    No boat forum?

Yeah. We are trying to make sense of what we are seeing and following the pipes and wires and valves and guessing using comparative anatomy techniques. The systems all have a few places that you can bypass/isolate/cross feed/parallel for combat survivability purposes. Having the TMs would be a...

    No boat forum?

It's mostly complete....mostly. He got the tanks cleaned out and motors fired up smartly. Found the hose connection to circulate water. Thing has more redundant systems than the moon lander. That's where TMs would come in handy. I'm learning about boats in the Arizona sun on this thing. Sent...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

Just went through phone calls with Allison, Stewart&Stevenson, and all the allison affiliated truck service centers near me(12) and nobody knows if my trans is WTEC2 or WTEC3. Everybody pointed back at Stewart&Stevenson and they said they aren't in the truck business anymore and he tried but...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

I pulled out the trans harness today. Its part number is 29509959 (WTEC2?) Heres what I have in total. Other than the main harness being from this truck, all the rest came from a spares pile purchase. I seem to be missing the VIM? And that should hook to the harness at my demilled PX33...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

That's crazy. I found it on Russian language Ebay. I couldn't read the Russian text and assumed the only harness on the internet was in a pawn shop in Russia of all places Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

I'm going to check with them tomorrow but all the original wiring I've found in place seem to jive with it being a WTEC II. The truck was built 02/98. I think I need all of this... And the correct PX33 pigtail that fits it to splice into the harness.

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

well got most of the bundle traced and reconnected. 1 straggler and the PX33 connector that was decapitated left to do. Now I need to find a VIM and trans harnesses for my WTEC2

    HMMWV Pioneer Tool Rack

Mine did that too when I tried to mount it to the original MWO bumper. Looked just like yours. I put on an airlift bumper and havent revisited the issue. I started thinking about using the mount and clip hooks to mount the whole unit in the bed some way

    Noobie questions

Have you walked around one while contemplating your mods? All of this stuff CAN be accomplished but as a cheaper alternative than a gently used dually pickup? Don't be fooled by the seemingly affordable buy in price. You will end up with the COOLEST tow rig. That's for sure. But I see you...

    1998 M1078 A0 Wiring nightmare?

Yeah, no kidding. I pried that plate under the wiper motor up to get it through and will reposition the wiper arms for more clearance to replace the harness. Im gonna have to dig deep to bring my soldering A-game so I don't end up with a travesty of a bundle.
