What might the actual model as it would appear in a TM for this semi trailer? I can find tandem axle units, but have not had any luck with this triple axle.
Also, how is the suspension designed on these? Can an axle be removed without effecting the other axle suspensions, or are all 3 axles...
Thank you. So is this setup worth more money than a regular 927? I know they want a fortune for it at 19k, but I dont do auctions myself so am willing to pay some extra.
I called on this one this morning at Idaho Motorpool. He went out and while talking to me, explained that they are in fact, removable sides on this one.
I need an M927 with the 20' bed. Dont need a winch. But the sides do need to be removable. Do all of the 20' beds in the 9xx series have removable sides? I need it for hauling pallets of blue berries. We are replacing our 18' bed gas, single axle truck. I'd need to put a head board up from and...
I'm still learning how to use the TMs. I have trouble figuring out the separation from trucks with no abs and no ctis, and mine with abs and ctis. I'm getting better at navigating the TMS but still a long way to go.
Are those air valves under the drivers entry step for the ctis or the anti lock brakes? Or,.........?
Thanks. I did search, and learned a lot of great new info on compressor governor issues and ppvs, but could not find what the valves are at this location on the M931A2.
I missed what engine you have. ??
On the 8.3, go up to the secondary fuel filter and there is a line with a banjo bolt that faces the firewall. 10mm box end wrench I think. Put a rag over it and crack the line while pumping on the lift pump primer. There is a spot just beyond that banjo bolt...
Ok, today on my M931 8.3L, I took the two bolts out that held the selector valve and pulled the valve down without removing the lines. I took a 13/16" box end and removed the top of the selector valve. Pulled the cartridge out and polished the shaft that hooks to the handle.
Cleaned things up...
Ok, read thru the thread and learned a lot. But I have a twist to my fuel issue. I can pressurize the tank and get fuel to the primary filter "sometimes". I can blow air back to the tank from the filter in line and also thru the filter and back to the tank. But getting fuel from the tank to the...
Got it. Thank you for the information. I went out and inspected the cores I was using and found that both of them had split seals. I found a box of some new ones that had not sat in the sun and they work fine. Thanks again.
And you are still able to use this pipe to fill the tire, or do you use it as a plug? Plug is fine with me, but it would sure be cool to use it to fill the tire as well. Thanks.
I'll try this thread before I post a new and see what happens.
I have removed my ctis wheels from 931a2. I wish leave the wheels as is with the valve stems in place etc. However the wheel pipe that was hooked to the ctis hose does not take a standard civilian core. Or,... it does not use one of...
Call Brett Boyce and he said he remembers making some adapter plate for the drums. He confirmed what others have thought about the A2 hubs NOT being flippable.
Ok, just spent that last hour and a half reading about hub flipping using the search feature, thinking I have this at hand. Then,.......one mention of the A2 not being able to flip the hubs? So I search for A2 hub flipping and can not find definitive answers. Some say they dont think it is...
As long as the front axle is disengaged, you should be able to drive the vehicle equipped this way. But when you engaged the front, even off road on slippery surfaces, You will positively drive the one splined wheel. Because the tire is not directly over the steering pivot line, any traction on...
