Patched up the cracked tailgate sides to the best of my ability. Don't give me to much grief about the welds all I've got is a cheap Flux core welder. It really can't go low enough to weld thin metal but I did my best.
The grease zerks can sometimes be a pain to get to. A grease gun adapter kit like this makes things go smoother in all your greasing adventures.

Engine has always been strong. The odometer got reset when I was doing some Dash work but it said 44,595 miles when I got it. I just need to replace that old harmonic balancer and the engine should be pretty cherry.
I plan to once I get some more diesel in. It was running real ruff last night because of the air still in the system. I will post one this afternoon though. I can't wait till I get the Trans and transfer case back in. That will be an exciting video for me. First time moving under it's own power...
Got the fuel tank put back in today. Only had a couple gallons of fresh diesel on hand which didn't make the fuel gauge move. Got to grab another can of diesel tomorrow. Nice to have it running again after a couple months of the tank being out.
I'm no expert but aren't the TH400 transmissions in cucvs 30 spline to the torque converter. Like this

That's personal preference I like it if it has the bumper lettering to, unit numbers and such. Im going to do custom stencils on my 09. Where a civi would say K5 Blazer I'm going to stencil on M1009

Got one of the smaller but important things handled today. Replaced the steel brake line across the rear axle. Also replaced the rubber line while I was back there.
