Thanks! Westy is going to be able to handle the pick-up and maybe a good part of the cross-country haul.
An alternative drop-off is Charleston, WV or Morgantown, WV. I have family there and they could store it for a bit.
Thanks! I may have you pick it up and start it this way. I'll let you know.
Thanks. I am in no hurry to get it so that would work out great depending on Westy's trip. I'll PM him right now.
Yes, I did get some stuff from Joe. He's a great guy to deal with and he has lots of important M939-series parts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It doesn't matter if it takes a month to get here. Just getting it out of Joe's storage building would be helpful.
If Westy could carry...
Hey guys,
I have a parts kit sitting in a storage building in Appleton, WI 54914. It weighs 209 lbs and is in a shabby cardboard box that measures 26"x40"x"30.
Can anyone pick it up and carry it this way? I have a couple of quotes to ship it over here, but they are $200 and up.
I'll try...
I am glad you are feeling better!! Kudos to your wife for taking such good care of you. Thanks again for dragging my stuff across the gulf coast for me!
Fantastic photos and event reports guys! I am very sorry I missed it as well.
Has anyone heard from Timntrucks? How is he feeling? Did anyone end up with my two wooden crates that Tim carried over from TX? Big Case was going to grab them for me, but missed Tim before he left.
Good points, Bjorn! I had not considered the unburned fuel after a failed starting sequence.
I also plan on keeping a CO monitor in my truck when I will be using the heater for an extended period. That will make me feel better about using it, especially when parked with little air...
That's a good plan. Too bad the door fell of the closest one. May have to move into the next one back. I can't believe we've been wrenching on this thing for a year now.
Well, my EUC came through today and my invoice is stamped paid-in-full. Is anyone headed to Lejeune that can drag the trailer out with them? Rick? Newb? Anyone?
Is bigwheelbob still on here? I paid him to pull my 818 out last year.
It sure is! It's a rusty, crusty, greasy, diamond-in-the-rough! Just when I think I am making some headway, I find 14 other things that need done. I have to-do lists for my to-do lists! It can be a little frustrating when I go down with the intention of doing 3 or 4 projects only to find...
Thanks. :-D We need to get the trucks together when we're both finished. Yours will definitely have more firepower! I would like to find a Lightweight Weapons Platform for mine when I am finished with everything else. A .50 would look good on top.
I see you are up in the wee...
Glad to see you are hanging tough on this project. It would definitely be a challenge to deal with an uncommon vehicle which was made overseas and never had a US presence. I commend your efforts. Keep up the good work!
Don't be a junker hater Westy! :-P
Here's the pics as promised. They show the newly connected air lines, the bent/broken front limiting valve assembly, the new front limiting valve, and the shredded PS ram fitting.
