MEP 802A Aux fuel tank option

Please don't take this wrong as I highly respect all the info you give on here but I disagree with not having the pickup off the bottom of the tank. The reason is with my one tank that had the pick up from the top to about 8 inches from the bottom filled up with water and junk over time then...

Best solution for a steering column?

I put a tilt steering in mine that I got out of a 1992 blazer...paid 50$ for it and had the key in it ready to go...my 15 year old son swapped it out by himself...not hard at all...can get the linkage lined up right at the same time as long as the transmission is ok. I needed the tilt...the...

MEP 802A Aux fuel tank option

I have a 803 with 2 275 gallon home heating oil tanks feeding it...they have the drain at the bottom so I hooked to that with a shut off and filter then steel line to the genset...works great.

MEP 802A Aux fuel tank option

I doubt the filter will be much resistance then at that flow rate...the tank is 5 gallons I think on the 802 so it doesn't take much....just thinking of keeping it primed or getting it that way...you'll know once the genset calls for fuel! Mine is gravity so I haven't had any problem feeding...

MEP 802A Aux fuel tank option

As long as your aux pump can pull it through it won't hurt having extra filter capacity...maybe a priming ball to get it going or a cheap carb 6lb electric pump if need be...they are cheap...can run the pump off the aux pump wiring so when it turns on it'll turn on the filter pump too. Dig the...

IBC Tote Setup for generator fuel supply?

I have seen 2 of these very recently for sale...I was thinking of getting one to add to my stash of fuel!! Wish the diesel was .89 a gallon still.

IBC Tote Setup for generator fuel supply?

The hook up is pretty much up to the code of where you are...I did the entire house setup with a manual switch outside...that means I needed a 200 amp switch since the house is setup for a 200 amp service and had to match even though I'm only pushing 52 amps at 220...I think the 802 does 37 amps...

IBC Tote Setup for generator fuel supply?

I don't know what a ibc is but I just did the line to my aux fuel a few weeks ago...JIC size was 6 if I remember right...I got it from my local hydraulics company, had a line made up to go right on. I took the cap that covers the aux line when not in use to the store. I'm not sure florida has...

    Corrosive coolant

Your dads right for sure...typically it's not the coolant but the water used to mix it...if you change coolant a lot it won't matter much but something that sits, like these gensets, with a charged up set of batteries wreaks havoc on aluminum parts...making sure you have good clean low...

    Corrosive coolant

I don't know the part numbers and obviously you have a paper copy of the tm and need parts 3,4 and 5...any chance you looked at the online tm available in this site? If you can't find it I can try to look them up in the tm online here...not sure if you have easy access or not. I'd check the...

MEP-803A getting it to work,,,my first one!

So I'm not sure if I got the number from his post but it looks like, according to it, I did get the correct fuel line. Brand and part number. Thanks for verifying! Rich. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

MEP-803A getting it to work,,,my first one!

I'm not sure if it's exactly stock by the TM...but it is the spec size of 3.5mm inside diameter with the mesh outer and diesel use...I couldn't find that size anywhere but online...there's a pic of the company I bought it from, a post 1 January. Mine got shipped out of Baltimore but I think they...

MEP-803A getting it to work,,,my first one!

Took 2 weeks but I finally got the return fuel line in the mail!! Took all that time to come from Baltimore 45 minutes north to here! The nitrile fuel return seals look like they should work fine. I will be going at this repair tomorrow!

    Need help MEP-803A

Well if you have other 803s then I guess you can swap one...just see if they have the fuse added to it...then swap that too...hate to burn up another one! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    Need help MEP-803A

Ok then the genset should charge the batteries then...does the 24 volt load gauge read high when started then go to 0 volts or so after about 10 minutes? If you don't have the fuse at the vr then you got some diag to play with..like adding the fuse and possibly a new vr...if you go through my...

    Need help MEP-803A

The one fuse is called the FU1 and the other hooked to the VR is a modification that I think is called the quad winding fuse...there's more to that but I would have to search it up....I think it is a sticky in the genset opening page.
