It's story:
Serial No. #3218 = first 3500 given to New Zealand allies.
A guy bought it in NZ and brought it back to U.S.
He died and his business partner was selling it for the widow.
Civilianized, tired, but pretty straight, I brought it back to military specs...

Here is my 1941 Indian 741B. Found it civilianized and of overall poor condition. Performed complete restoration.
As I recall, you also have to position the M/C just right for it to go into the right position. I followed the T.M. including the pics showing the proper orientation.
