Attn. Mog experts: A friend obtained this 404 mog non-running. He had a mechanic rebuild the carb. but still has issues starting and running requiring lots of choke etc. Guidance on proper carb. adjustments is requested.

Stick with your plan of flushing out the entire system. Bleed it for a while so you are getting plenty of purple fluid thru all the wheel cylinders.

Cali DMV says "any" 3 axle = commercial B. It doesn't say anything about historical vehicle exception. I buckled down and got a commercial class B. It's not a big deal and gives me peace of mind.

I have about 10-12 fiberglass 'take off" boards. Not sure if deuce or 5 ton...I'm probably too far away from you to be able to help out. Shipping would be a pain as well.

On my deuce, I just doubled up on the rubber bumper/spacer (item #26 on image above). The rubber spacer/bumper is what stops the door from swinging all the way open. This worked perfect for me.

It's a bad airpack. If it's rebuilt right it will last just fine.

Be careful! Brake fluid doesn't just evaporate. If you refilled and bled the system and did not find a leak or failed component, you have not identified the problem. I had the same issue with my wrecker. I filled the fluid, bled everything and had no issues and no leaks. Then suddenly, no...
