How much does a single run-flat weigh? Are the run-flats identical between the bias-ply tires on 8-bolt rims and radial tires on 12-bolt rims? Sorry for the hijack.

I think that's a good deterrent no matter what part of the U.S. you're in. Only a very deterimed thief with time to go digging, who also has some familiarity with FMV's would figure it out.

Are you sure it's not coolant with iron sediment in it? They look awfully similar and even feel similar to the touch but coolant will have that sickly sweet smell.
