I'm looking for the exact weight of the NDCC with the standard 10 bolt wheel with locking ring. Assume the tire is inflated. I've "heard" the complete assembly is 210 lbs.
I see that the Titan T Hawk is 99 lbs. Is the wheel really another 100-ish lbs?
Same story as the original poster- I'm...
Yup. As a reserve unit, we generally got "cast-offs" from active duty units. As long as we had enough vehicles to haul our TO&E, it didn't really matter what they were. Our deuces were friggin' ancient when I got there. GP canvas tents straight out of M*A*S*H with pot-belly, wood burning stoves...
No, it's my old reserve unit insignia from the MIUW warfare community. They are all disbanded now. A few folks have posted photos of their trucks that still have the old insignia on them.
There's a power steering...cooler? That's interesting. There is nothing in front of my radiator. I have an M813, maybe you're thinking of a 939 series truck?
Winter is tough, just not enough hours of daylight and the angle is low, shrouding everything in shadow. Work lights are a must.
Pretty much every job in the TM's say "discard lock washers" and direct you to obtain new ones. Better than having a critical bolt vibrate out.
I guess I got lucky with mine. I try to stay clear of Harbor Freight but sometimes I need a tool "now" or a US made equivalent isn't available or the price differential is just more than I can shoulder.
I definitely remember Unicor (Federal Bureau of Prisons) tags on many GI items during my career but they were usually limited to things with no moving parts, such as "tighty-whitey" underwear, foxtail brooms and dust pans.
I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility that prisoner...
Hey, bashing previous owners for their shoddy workmanship is a time-honored tradition in other forums I participate in. ;) Especially shoddy electrical work!
Somewhere in this video archive, Wes demonstrates how he man-handles 400lb. tires without really much equipment.

I went back and forth about whether I wanted to single up my truck or not and decided against it for just this reason...
Ah, the fun never ends!
Awhile back, I pressure washed the underside of the truck so I could watch and see what leaks spring up. I think I have a minor leak on the steering axle front pinion seal (the unused side). The top of the differential is oily...sort of an even coating as if an oily mist...
Based on this description, it sounds like you might have algae in the fuel tank and you keep sucking it into the fuel system.
You cleaned the filters but they're just clogged up again.
Have you drained the fuel tank via the big drain plug at the bottom?
Yeah, I tried that on my truck recently. I'm 240# and hung from the bar like an ape and nothing happened. Admittedly, the wheels hadn't been broken free on my truck in over a decade.
I ended up buying one of those new, Wham-O-Dyne torque-multiplying lug wrenches just to break the final nut...
