My cruise works perfectly and make long distance travel a pleasure. Along with the hi speed gears, AC, and tinted widows.
My cost because I do all the research and work is minimal. ECM pins $19, ECM diagram and pin locations free with lots of research, wire from ECM to dash shielded 18 gauge 6...
I just did this on my CAT 3126 last year and I did wire it up to a brake light switch.
If the ECM has a brake input I never came across it doing all of my research and it would Not turn off the cruise when I hit the brakes prior to hooking up to the brake light switch. Also here is a ”Warning”...
About a year ago a new armored M1089 wrecker was for sale on eBay. The story was that it was built for Spain’s military but when their government bankrupt they couldn’t pay for it and it ended up on eBay. I saw the price around $75,000.00
I believe 99 to present has 4 leafs in the spring packs compared to the earlier ones only had 3 leafs
A huge benefit for the computer controlled 3126 and C7 engines is you can easily reprogram them, for example my engine had i think it was 275hp and caterpillar reprogrammed it to 330hp also had...
FMTV Air Conditioner Hybrid Completed Installation click on this post for some more info.
Check out page 6 were I explain what I did. It will also work for Gen2 units. The primary difference between Gen 1 and 2 units besides the external obvious vents is the internal parts...Gen 1 is all...
LOL!!! That’s my foot in the picture! And it works great! The aluminum tubing fits over the studs and fits through the wheel holes then lift a little and it slides perfectly in place all by yourself.
SPAL va18-bp70/ll-41ms 24V FAN , CNFP1623KT Kit AC A/C Universal Condenser Parallel Flow 16 x 23 O-ring with Drier
Her are a couple changes I've made that has improved the temp coming out of the vent, it dropped the temp from 60-65 down to 48-52 degrees and much cheaper way to go. I purchased...
I tried editing my original post and added Convoy and Beacon to the thread title but it didn't work. Does any one know a way to change the title of this thread to include Convoy and Beacon? In hopes others can find it when they don't know the proper name of it. And if there are other names that...
The connector arrived and it worked perfectly.
Be careful the light is polarity sensitive and hooking it up incorrectly blew a 5amp fuse inside the light.
This is how mine need to be wired, but check and test yours before soldering and doing final installation of the plug.
Thanks Wandering Neurons, the ITT/Cannon part # CA3106E10SL-4P-B-02 seems to be correct looking at a 2-D drawing on ITT/Cannon site. So I ordered one from Newark. After I receive it and test it I'll update this thread.
FYI the link to the other post had the same part number BUT missing an"E" in...
LMTV convoy strobe beacon Light connector
I Think I've read it some where her but I've looked for hours and can not find the part number for the plug that would directly fit the existing plug for the strobe light.
What I can gather it's a 2 pin twist lock Amphenol connector, the twist lock...
Another advantage to the 3126 and c7 models is that you can add cruise control to it.
My favorite Mods to my 2003 LMTV are, gear change, power boost to 330hp, A/C, and the Cruise control finishes it off making for a very pleasant short and long distant driving vehicle.
I seen a set at a local tire store, they were asking $100 each. All the measurements are correct and I like how the CTIS is mounted. To make it work from what I can tell would require a cross hole drilled in the large wheel stud that supplies air to the CTIS an o ring behind the wheel on that...
I used a right angle grinder with a cut off wheel to cut the Huck bolts off. Warning the Huck bolts have a lot of tension so sometimes just before you cut all the way through the bolt, the tension causes it to pop off in an explosive way and they go flying at a high rate of speed.
