I use Castrol Pyroplex Blue #2 in everything(bearings, zerk fittings, etc) and I have had excellent results with it.

Ok,after careful measurement, there is only 1 inch difference between the backspacing on M34/M135 wheels vs the standard deuce rim.
So it would only widen the track on the front 2 inches total.
By a stroke of luck and some simple figuring,I actually aligned the mag exactly as the manual above stated without ever looking at the manual.
Thanks[thumbzup]
I think I have it figured out,
With the rotor button gear pinned in the Right rotation hole, the contact is pointing at the #1 cylinder plug wire.
Then rotating the mag to align the cam with the points allows the Right rotation point on the opposite gear to align with the hole on the rotor...
Ok folks,
After searching the TM on these engines as well as scouring the threads,I haven't found the answer I need.
I have a 04A084 military standard engine with the Slick model 4220 magneto,I took it apart to clean the points(it had no spark),
and now I need to know how to re time the rotor...
As of right now, after I replace the oil cooler(figured out Friday it's pushing engine oil into the coolant) it will be for sale.
I already have one interested party, and it may be sold and delivered at the Denton rally.
I basically purchased this truck to fund the Justifier guntruck project.
A few pictures after the M813A1 was cleaned up a bit.
It runs OK,still a bit weak,I had a small problem this afternoon on the way to work to steam it off.
The brakes began to drag a bit and then then locked solid, after draining the air pressure I quickly diagnosed it as being a air pack not...
Mine is a 0 to 300 psi gauge similar to yours.
If I keep the 813A1,I plan to do the idle plunger(fuel button) as well as the dual feed line mod,and see how it runs from there.
As of right now,it starts great with no lope at idle cold, and it make a slight haze on acceleration with no load.
I...
Thanks for the info Floridianson,i'll be checking the 813A1 out later this week.
I already had the proper line and fittings in my test gauge I made for the Hydramatic transmission in the GMC deuces.
Made it back in one piece, trip was uneventful, the M62A1 ran great the whole trip and only burned 47 gallons of fuel in 334 miles and 2 hrs running at 1500 rpm at Ferro's place running air impacts and airing up tires.
I'll say it again, the ENDT Mack never ceases to amaze me,I never had to...
Yep,the M62s are a rare sight these days,my 1955 International Harvester keeps on ticking though.
Especially with that Mighty 673 Mack under the hood!!
