I was just passing along info that are shop supervisor had pass down to us from hq with quality control these days I'd rather have the oil filterd before it reached my engine. But hey what do I know I'm just a self proclaimed expert....
I have no clue who told you to do that but if you get caught doing that to a new cummins or cat you will void all your warranty your putting unfiltered oil into your engine
Well it's all back together not sure if it's working I have a 1/4 inch plastic airline running to the poppet valve instead of the bigger rubber one I think I might be loosing some air pressure by having it set up that way because the clunk can only be heard with the truck off . The new cylinder...
well the new one arrived today was not easy getting the old cylinder off the shaft had to use a gear puller and it pretty much destroyed the old cylinder so no rebuilding that one lol anyways will let everyone know if it works or not once I get it back together
When cummins canada redid my pump after the american cummins did it They told me they brought it up to "Our specs" which they said was a different button for more fuel pressure and Now I'm just a little interested in what its putting out for temps on some of the hills we have here
Whats everyone using for a pyro gauge and sensor on there 250s. I was thinking about getting the gf to sit under the hood well I`m driving and get the reading using a temp gun but she doesn`t think this is a good idea lol
That is the reason I'm just gonna go with the whole new one my luck would be the cylinder would be bad and I'd have to wait another 2 week for more parts
