it's in the first post, just go to walmart automotive dept and tell them it is a fram part number. they can order it, if the person dosent know how find a manager or another person. walmart has an account with fram and there will be no shipping charge.

again - why not just buy the correct ones from fram??

are you sure it says LTD-456, not LDT-465?

sure there are many rings that will 'work', but why not get the absolute correct ones from the filter manufacturor?? walmart, no shipping, just a few days, cheap.

did you put oil in it?? if you didn't, when they get it back it will be obvious. just a thought, there is not much to make a rebuild go bad like that.

you say you checked the ip timing, but really, you did not. you left out 1 important step. go back and read previous posts and you will know if it is correct or not. ether would not melt the pistons. never. it would break the rings mostly, but not much else. check the timing before you take...

right, no return filter, if you mean the filters on the side of the engine, if they are as dirty as the really nasty one you show, clean everything good and with new filters bleed it and see. if the secondary and final filters let any of that stuff be you probably will need a HH replacement.

this is completely normal for some if not most trans depending on what 2nd gear and what syncro combo you have. you will have to just release the clutch a little (just some drag) while gently putting it into 2nd, or put it in while the truck is moving. tom

i had mine after the turbo, then installed it before the turbo. so in theory it should have read 200- 300 deg higher. it did not, it read almost exactly the same. i never could agree that this very hot exhaust gas, traveling as fast as it moves, could cool down that much in such a short distance.
