Sorry for the delay in responding. The low end power difference is noticeable. However, the differences would vary by truck. For example, I have two A2s right now. One runs stronger than the other, but neither has as much power from a dead stop as my A1. I have an M927A1 (with the NHC250)...
The M923 is probably the better buy if all things are considered. The A2s generally bring more money. WHile I like the quiet motor, the NHC250 has much more low end torque. Plus, while many parts are consistent across the various series, some parts are A2-specific (translation, hard to find...
Not sure the answer to your question, but I have much of the arctic heater kit for a CUCV...new. It is NOT complete, but there is enough there to put heat and defrost in the cab with many other parts. I know the parts for the tranny heater, battery heater, etc. are not there (at least it is...
Robert, I might be coming with Rodger. I am not positive and won't know until the AM. Please try to save a spot for me. I have not been out at these for a while, but they are awesome get-togethers.
Although I realize this was not the intent of your original post, you might also want to GOOGLE CARC or search on this site to learn more about it. CARC stands for Chemical Agent Resistent Coating (CARC). Applying it or removing it requires special procedures and safeguards...at least to do it...
I think they have the question field so they can further remove themselves from any liability. "OK, you are not satisfied with your acquisition. Did you ask us any questions beforehand, did you inspect, or did you just bid blindly based upon the pictures?" At least that is my thought...
I think your post was right on point! I meant no offense. All good. I think the others have it right. I bought the same set up...or at least really close at Aberdeen last year for my M928A2 with antenna mount.
Off topic post, but meant with the best of intentions...FYI...there is already a CUCVFAN on this list. While your screen name is slightly different, my reco is to change your name...or deal with guys contacting you by mistake.
Tan is tan, but there are different shades. 686A is the correct color for the Gulf War and I think it is still current for the current conflict. CARC should best be applied while wearing a full fresh air respirator. WESTECH is correct...all paint can kill you.
I recall seeing a few with fenders from the factory coming out. I believe they were newer...like built in the 80s if I recall correctly. Those would be the M332 to get IMHO.
That is funny right there, and it is exactly what I found. Mine were backed into a garage one in front of the other so you can imagine how many times I took the back one out (let alone the front one!). I love green iron and would have loved to keep them, but I needed the space. With multiple...
Sold one for scrap value (it was not scrapped) and gave one away recently to another SteelSoldier. I literally never used mine and decided I needed the room more.
I have heard many guys complain about Dave Kelone, but I have had nothing but great service from him. He even sent a data plate to Aberdeen for me without getting paid up front! I know guys have said that they could not reach him. Well, I called his cell and he answered the first time (I...
That looks pretty slick. DId you take two M105A3 beds to make that bed? I can't tell that you fabricated it, assuming you did, which means you did a great job (again, assuming you put the bed together).
