    The Official m101-series-bed-on-a-pickup-truck pics thread

Those dimensions have been compared and discussed many times. Would encourage you to search. You'll get a lot more help if you do some of your own homework.

    The Official m101-series-bed-on-a-pickup-truck pics thread

You'll probably want to use an M101A2 bed on that truck. M105 bed is 10ft log (vs 8ft on M101) and the M101A2 wheelwell width will work better for you than the A3.

    Are prices going up?

At the peak, remember seeing A3's were selling for up to $10-12,000.

    Triangulated 4-Link on Air Bags

Sure thing. Lite Industries does a lot of custom work on bigger trucks, outfitting and upfitting rigs for all kinds of companies up there. Mark is also an off-road guy and a top-notch fabricator.

    Changes to the classifeds

Yeah, can see how determining who is/not a vendor around here is tricky here. Know a lot of guys are selling stuff on the side, making a little bit of extra money here and there. Would not be opposed to paying a small fee to list anything outside of personal items, but administering that sounds...

    Changes to the classifeds

Just to clarify, I make my living as a designer, not making or selling anything related to these vehicles. In every case where I've offered custom-made parts for sale here, it's only been to offset the expense of making stuff for myself, to recover some of the time/money invested, and to make...

    Changes to the classifeds

Not really. There are a lot of reasons why we ought to be able to edit posts in the classifieds. You know, like price updates, quantities available, etc. What are we supposed to do, delete the ad and post a new one any time we want to make a change in a listing? You really want us re-listing the...

    Triangulated 4-Link on Air Bags

Dunno what those DOT inspectors are looking for, but you might want to give my friend Mark at Lite Industries a call. He's up your way and can probably tell you what you need to know.

    Changes to the classifeds

Fine with the changes, but can we please be given the ability to edit listings? Asked about this in another thread, and patracy, got an email notification saying that you'd replied, but looks like you deleted it?

    Triangulated 4-Link on Air Bags

Rubber boots like these are a great investment if you're running heim-joints on anything.

Getting ready M923A2 recovery @ Fort Riley

Would also recommend taking a set of fresh/charged batteries and swapping those in. We've had several alternators fry-out on us, on freshly rebuilt trucks, and my electrical guru buddy suggested that it might have something to do with the alternators being over-worked trying to charge dead...

I guess it's true you can't have just one.

Good luck! We just bought an M936A2 a few months ago and it's immaculate. Looks brand new. Hope you luck-out too.

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

Interesting. We've had 2-3 alternators fail in different ways, including fires and one of the pulleys shearing-off, in 'brand new' M939's. What's up with these military alternators?

Off-road Magazine Article about M109 camper

    Neat conversion. Thanks for sharing.

    My M109a3 RV conversion

Off to a good start. Curious though, why all the plywood?

Title transfer from US to Canada

Have a friend up in Canada who is interested in buying some trucks. Just spent the last half-hour reading-up on exporting to Canada and wow, there's a lot of conflicting information about this subject. Found links to info about ITAR, and BIS, and wassenaar and the district export council. Ended...

    5 ton lockout hubs

Just noticed that OEM's locking hubs for 2.5-ton Rockwell axles are manufactured under license of patent 5,394,967. So I looked it up -> http://www.google.com/patents/US5394967. How do your locking hubs work?

    M925 deck construction?

Oh, gotcha. If you're thinking along those lines, might want to take a look at this?
  19. jesusgatos

    M925 deck construction?

Or shorten the bed by a couple feet, or use an M35 bed. But that's what I'm leaning towards. Mounting a knuckleboom right to the frame behind the cab.

    5 ton lockout hubs

We've got several 5-tons and would love to be able to put some kind of locking hubs on them. Keep at it.
