    Cucv wrecker

Give me a few days. My hundred year old laptop struggles to operate my 1TB external hard drive with nearly a TB of pics to sort through. I'll work on it.

    Cucv wrecker

Too late! Somewhere in my archives, I have a pic of a truck like that while still in service. Humbly guessing it was the same as it wasn't done on a regular basis. Looks like a neat truck. I'm betting it's over width or darned close with the wheel spacers in the back.

    Whoa...A Generator Forum!!!

No railroad forum either despite considerable surplus rail assetts owned by forum members.

Thinking about getting a M275 have some questions.

I've towed 36,000# with my old M275A2 and after a trip around the block, changed my mind. Chassis is capable, multifuel, not so much. I did piggyback my M108 (just under 20,000#) from Lake City to West Palm Beach FL with the same M275A2. 55MPH was no problem,

what are these guys for ?

Looks nice. Figured I'd let you know, the stock rims you pulled off, are sought after items.

Transmission shop recommendations in Charlotte NC

Would this offer stand for others? I don't mind paying someone for work but when it comes to a trans, I'm not so trusty. I don't need one now but for the future.

How do you stop a m809 if the brakes fail?

Only a Cummings tech would think of that! (Spelling is satire for those things skinned Cummins fans)

How do you stop a m809 if the brakes fail?

I can tell you, it's uncomfortable at best. Had it happen twice, one I deserved. 20,000# deuce wrecker was my fault for not checking drums before my first test drive. Second was 35 MPH in a deuce tractor flat towing a cargo truck. Got I't down to a few MPH before the intersection, then bled out...

    M1031 conversion to M1028

Trust me, I understand. Seems that whatever we need is on the opposite coast. If it does go to scrap and you have time, it might be.worth it to offer up the doors, lights and such for sale. You probably won't get rich but might really help someone out.

    M1031 conversion to M1028

Boy, I would hope someone comes up with a trade. I hate to see a truck like that changed over but I certainly understand. I have an ambulance that I may do the same, can't seem to sell it.

New guy here: wondering why folks convert to super singles?

Do both. 1100 duals in the rear and super single fronts.
  12. Recovry4x4

    Whoops. Gas in the tank.

    That's only 10%. No worries.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

    "Hotel loads" duely noted.

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M756A2 Project!

Keith Boda stinks to get old.

    Sheet metal joint filler/sealer

PL roof flashing in a caulk tube works pretty good. It's paintable. Mike at OD Iron used it on all his restores, claims it's better that regular body cauld.

    Light for floor shift bezel

I don't tinstar, but it's the same as your front marker lights. Quarter turn thingy that takes 194 bulbs. https://www.ecklerscorvette.com/1975-corvette-side-marker-light-socket.html

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M756A2 Project!

Crud, I can't remember the guys name that bought all my BII but I do recall have 2 sets of stake pocket adapters.

    M101 A3 parts

There have been a few posts before with part numbers. A little searching might net results if nobody answers.

    Light for floor shift bezel

    Yeah, with his feet.

    Wiring battery tender on M1008

You can't run one 12V tender for both batteries as long as you have them wired is series (as designed).
