    S250 shelter vents

I did a couple of searches with no luck. Does anyone have a lead on the exhaust vents for an S250/g communications shelter? I would prefer not to use dryer vents in my repair. Thanx Tony

My new to me Gama Goat

I really hope it wasn't due to the s250 shelter. I haven't gotten my brakes sorted out to test your results. I really wanted to buzz around with the commo in the back. Now I wonder what the floating situation would be like. :)

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Mark, could you take more pictures of that from various angles? I may be needing to fabricate one for my goat. Do you know if that defroster part was part of the hard or soft top winterization kit?

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

Wow that a whole lot of $#!+. Maybe pull the oil fill cap and insert the hose from the shop vac into the exhaust. And have a couple of new bags at the ready.

    Gama gama hey!

Thanks for the pics AMG. And my 3-53, I am probably jinxing it for next time, is instant start with a push of the button. Barring a dead or depleted 24 volts.

    Gama gama hey!

After I get back from more eye surgery. Now they are going to remove the cataract in the good eye, the left. The retina in the right is usable enough to get around with. Not enough to drive with it alone. But enough to lower the risk of total blindness if things go south on the left eye's...

    Gama gama hey!

Any one willing to take a picture of what they have for the transition between the back wall of the passenger compartment and where the engine compartment cover rests when closed. With the arctic top on, there is a gap along where the two pieces meet. Giving me noise and engine smells into...

Diamond in the rough or just plain rough??

You could offer the price for scrap weight for all of the aluminum. That way, if you turn out not having the diamond, you could sell the rough, and break even except for effort. But that is the best part, worth not being paid to tinker on an MV. If you want to share info on the other arctic...

    PNW Info Thread!

Oh, fine Scott. You'll drive over to see dodgedougak, but to see your little buddy...well ... I guess that's when all of your enthusiasm flies out the window? All kidding aside, I would attend a dry side rally. Lots of great long, flat roads running through pretty scenery over in Wallowa for...

My new to me Gama Goat

Thanx, So I assume that is screwed to the top? Mine doesn't have the side rails, up & down, either. Time to find a parts top or new arctic top.

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

So does royal brass and hose have a part # for those hoses? And proud of the hoses is RB&H? None of my local farm hydraulic or brake folks wanted to remake mine, even using my old hose connectors for parts. No RB&H out here, but maybe by mail.

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

Most of the auto parts chain stores have tool loan programs. You leave a deposit of the price of a tool, then get it back when you return it. Call around tomorrow and see if any have the torque range you need. Then if you like the tool, you just keep it. Lots of specialty tool listed on the...

Seal to protect the axle shaft

If you go up or down from that diagram in TM 9-2320-242-34 P The parts list calls out: Has the front as NSN 2520-00-404-7382, Part# 11659891, Deflector center & rear as NSN 2530-00-404-7382, Part# 11659891, Deflector Same part# different NSNs. In NL there is a listing at Truck parts trading...

My new to me Gama Goat

Lookin good. Should be easy to match the hunter green if you want to rattle can the whole rigg. Turn it into 3 color and it would match your forest surroundings better than 383. Would you be interested in taking some up close pix of where you wind screen meets the hard top? My top has an air...

    Goat treasure found in Oklahoma

Great score on parts. And thanks for the post, I was going thru goat gab withdrawal. So where does one store the truss kit when not in use? And don't say the garage. Was it just thrown in the cargo compartment? My trunk is full with a commo shelter. They thought of that nifty little door...

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

That just sux. Did you soak the cylinder and crank case with lots of kroil, kerosene, or sea foam. Unless you really want to pull the power pack, I would soak, set it in the sun, wiggle it a little bit. Lather, rinse, repeat. Not really rinse, just let sit, wiggle, sit and see if you get any...

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

Thanx for taking the time to check the glass out. I was planning to go the glass shop route. Just have to remove the back panel. I had the local glass shop make up the 4 sliding windows in the doors.

    Operation "URGENT RESTORATION"

Nice pics, especially the rear steering box. I have only seen the box through the service hole in the access plate. Good luck on rocking the engine free.

    Gama gama hey!

Well I got lucky and found one of the accessories I wanted for my goat. The s250/g communigations shelter. It was on about1.5 hour trip each way. So I loaded up some straps and 1-1/4" pvc pipe and headed towards Ellensburg. The shelter was on camper jacks and facing toward the road (that was...
