    Charging the batteries......

2 in series and then in parallel. Doubles the voltage to 24v and doubles the amperage also. You can connect them to a 12v charger one at a time. It'll only go as far as the ground clamp on the charger. If it makes you feel better, you can disconnect each battery in turn, but this is unnecessary.

    Charging the batteries......

They're normal 12v batteries. Best practice is to charge each one individually on a charger.

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

16.00s on hemtt rims do not appear narrow to me. This is how they look on an M925 cargo truck. Slightly wider than the bed. Obviously they'll be a little different on a dump truck.

Mixing hemtt and combat rims on m51?

On 939series trucks yes. On 809series trucks (and presumably the older multifuels) i think so, but I'm not sure. I didn't mentioned it because he didn't mention tire size. Usually, the only reason you see hemtt rims mixed with combat wheel is to clear 16.00's on the front. My preference is...

Engine shutoff cable question Cummins 8.3

It is correct as is. No action required. Truck is not running in the pic, and the master power is off, thus the fuel is in the shut off position by means of the solenoid. The cable in contrast, is in the run position. Pull the shut off and then have a look at where the cable is. Conceivably...

    Michelin XL tires

Your speedometer will be off by something like 24%. If you do end up with the truck loaded, you'll probably end up using low range to take off.

    Michelin XL tires

Presuming the m51 is like the 809series , there's an offset lugnut that allows you to use the existing wheel studs. This is a picture of the offset lugnut and hemtt rim on the back of my M925, but they also work on the front. I have them on the front of my M818 with hemtt rims. Although they...

    Michelin XL tires

At that price they're tempting. Also, being 16.00s the weight rating is higher which makes failure less probable in your use. What do you have for wheels? On 939series trucks hemtt rims are needed for 16.00s or they rub. I don't know if this is applicable to your M51... The loss of low end...
