Hi
Yes , sorry I ment Jegs. The slave switch is located in the front of the passenger seat base. After I removed the slave connector I mounted the disconnect switch in that pocket. I had to make a plate for the switch to mount in. I hope this makes sense.
Sorry I don't know how to post...
Hi
This I know is not new but I installed a disconnect switch today in my 1991 Humvee. I removed the slave connector from the passenger seat base along with its cables. Then using the connectors mounting holes made and mounted a plate to cover the hole and then drilled out the center to except...
Hi
Thanks for the replays. I guess I should have given more info. I have a 1991 Humvee in the command configuration with a soft top and doors. The current mounts are the style on the rear on each side. The type with two metal loops under the base. I use one for my am/fm radio and the other for...
HI
I have my antenna for a 2 meter radio mounted on a military antenna mount on the rear. The SWR is somewhat high and I wonder If It would be better if I mounted it on the side about in the middle. Also is there a special mount that is used in this location?
Thanks
Ken

Thanks for all the info. It sure doesn't make it easy. I guess I'll wait until I can actually check out various cans in my holders.
Thanks again

Hi
There are a ton of new jerry cans out there, I need to know which ones will fit the standard military holder. I'm afraid to buy a used vintage one off Ebay because of rust . I got one that the only way it would fit was to pound in the bottom corners so it would fit down to the bottom...

Good day everyone and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
I have mounted a trailer hitch and a connector so I can pull our 1959 Streamline trailer. My question is seeing that the Humvee is 24 volts and the trailer is 12 volts I'm not sure how to wire this.
I can't see running each wire...
Adapter
No, if you look at the Adventure Accessories web site it will show this adapter which is 2 1/4" x 5/8". I would attach a picture but I'm not very tech savvy.

Hi
I'm not sure if this has come up but a company named (Adventure Accessories) has a steering wheel adapter for the Humvee. I have a 91 Humvee and I got this adapter the other day. It fits and is about $55.00. It's 2 and 5/8" in dia. and 5/8" thick. It has a bolt circle of 1 and 3/4" Dia...
Good day
Does anyone know what the thead size is for the two theaded holes which are used for pulling the steering wheel. I think it is an M6 but it seems loose and I don't want to strip them out trying to pull the wheel.
Thanks
Ken
Good day
Can anyone tell me if the mounting for a 1991 Humvee steering wheel is different then for a 1993. I know the 91 has a splined shaft.
Thanks for the help

Hi
I have installed a 2 meter radio in my Humvee which has a soft top. My problem is with high SWR (over 3,0). Using RG213 around 20 ft. and have checked continuity and shorts. Antenna is a 5/8 wave firestix and is mounted on rear using military mount.
Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.
