Sorry, I have been a little caught up in other things. The only thing I see that my Dad could use is the spotlight assembly. He's missing one of his. Thanks for the pics.
The bed would look good on your truck. A lot of sand blasting and some new wood slats would do wonders for it.
Do...
You are a good man for helping a guy out of a bad fix. PM's on the way.
To the rest of you, thanks for kicking a guy when he's down  I wouldn't expect any less.
I have found myself in a bad situation. I won a M932A2 on GL last week. That in itself is not bad, but I also found out last week that the new job I was supposed to be taking at the first of the year has been eliminated :x. Therefor, this 932A2 must go. I would love to keep it since there...
There are a couple of crusty ones in that old 939 hard top on that 925 residue cab. They might be able to be cleaned up and reused. I can check the next time I am down there if you aren't in a hurry.
Thanks Bjorn, but I think it's in about the same shape as the one I have already. I think I can save mine by welding in some new loops to catch the j-bolts. It didn't look quite as bad yesterday since it wasn't filled with rain water and I cleaned all of the rotten wood and rust scale out of...
Thankfully, we only have to trace down 4 of the 7 wires this time. :-D I already soldered one in place. It was the fat one from the battery, 569 I believe. It won't be bad with one person to stick the multimeter probe in the PCB socket and another to check for continuity in the cab. You'll be...
Sounds like a good plan for the brakes. The 939-series air brakes really slow those big trucks down in a hurry. I don't know if I can ever go back to air over hydraulic. :-)
Work Session!
I took half a day to run to Winslow's and work on the 925A2 today. It was a perfect day with sunny weather to dry out all of the much from the weekend. I did a lot of little projects today. I started by pulling the batteries out of the 925 parts truck so I could inspect the...
LOL, I love the irony of that sticker.
The good news is that the floor is mostly flat steel sheeting with very few bends or cuts. The cab superstructure is still solid so it should be fairly easy (with lots of Kroil) to pull the seats, battery box, shifter, brake lever, etc.... and then plasma...
I'm hoping there won't be a next time, but if there is, I'll make dang sure my camera is on hand!
I'm going to try and fire the heater up on Wednesday if all of the wiring is there. That sucker should have the cab dried out pretty quickly!
On a crappy note, it looks like we'll be swapping...
I know :) I am much more of a diesel geek now than a gasser guy. That's one of the reasons I sold my 404 Unimog. Well, that and I wanted to buy the 923A2!
I had a tuned up 1995 Dodge 2500 4x4 with a smokin Cummins in it before my current 7.3L Powerstroke Excursion. I'm trying to convince my...
Yessir! :-D It'll be getting the SeaBee stencil on the doors too like my 923A2.
I am trying to decide whether to keep the trailer hitch frame that was added onto the truck by the SeaBees. It's not original to the truck, but it is an official military add-on. It would be handy for towing an...
