I forgot to mention one acquisition and it may be the coolest of all. It's a solid brass belt buckle with AM General and a M925A2 on the front, which is interesting seeing that they didn't get the contract for the A2's. The back says "Second in a collector series. M939 Truck."
Cool. I'll...
It has been a busy week sourcing parts for the 925A2. I am headed back to Winslow's this Sunday to put in another all day thrash. Hopefully Chad will be able to join me again. He is indispensable when it comes to the wiring. :-D
I went to NAPA today to pick up all of the necessary filters...
I did a bunch more searching on Google and came up with a Baldwin Filter PN and a GMC Truck PN. I should be able to cross one of those at the NAPA. I will report back with what I find out.
The following PN's are for the filter kits with a filter and new gaskets:
Baldwin: 19739
Allison...
I need a filter and pan gasket kit for my 925A2's tranny. I found a couple of Allison parts places online that sell the kits, but I haven't heard of any of them. Has anyone bought a kit recently? If so, where did you get it? My local NAPA has been able to cross some Cummins numbers for me so...
Has anyone ever used these folks before? They have some 939A2 parts that I have been looking for. Any reports, good or bad?

Like an actual pit for mud racing? I know there were lots of various sized mud pits there last time I was there, but not any that were long enough where you could actually do a race. I would like to do something semi-formal with different classes and prizes for the class winners.
Nice! Last time we were there I saw a dozer behind the barn. Maybe the owner would scoop out a pit for us and fill it with H2O :-D How long is a regulation pit? I can't wait to run the 925A2 through it. I better get my CTIS working so I can set the tires to 10 psi on SAND mode
I would consider having it longer if people were interested. I don't know that I will be able to do a whole week. I was thinking about driving in on Wednesday and heading out on Sunday.
Any vendor interest out there in SS land?
I'm all for it if there is enough interest. Anyone know if sled pulls have been done as Haspin before? If not sled pulls, then I'm sure we could arrange to do some mud drags. Anyone have a HEMTT water tanker that we can take to the river to make a mud bog in case we don't have rain? :)
Bumping this to the top again in light of recent posts. I don't want to contribute to some of general publics' misconception that we are all gun-toting crazies if we drive MV's. As always, please keep it MV related and non-political. The election is over so some of you need to quit campaigning.
5-tons have better weight capacity if that's what you need. They also have power steering. The more powerful engines tend to hold speed better on long grades, but they take longer to get to top speed than a deuce. They are considerably larger so if space is an issue, then stick with a deuce...
