Hi Back Driver & Commander seat conversion - Military 12446950

Boy that a clean old seat bracket. When I did mine and after the first few drilled out WA PITA... 🤔 got the air hammer AKA rivet gun with a slightly sharpen chisel faced tool and sheared the little buggers right off in a couple of minutes. Replaced chisel with punch and BAP, BAP, BAP, BAP...

This Is a great conversion and easy on the pocket book and all the reasons posted. I have basically the same setup for the last 5 years. 60 amp alternator. I note and papakb has the covered battery terminals "booted" ... GREAT ! Whatever the reason one goes this route >>> MAKE SURE that...

YEP, when I need a fish ti's off to the market. Didn't know fishing was that expensive. That being the case, I have a whole lake full riding on four 37 inch tires. Fish and chips, As long there not in your transmission, CAMO

Steering wheel- A0 to A2 style

Well, you must have one of the newer wi-fi horns. NOW everyone going to want one. LOL Really... There is a wire thru the steering shaft with a connection for the button. It plugs right in. The wire does not pull out far (just enough to get fingers on it)and make the press on fit with what...

Steering wheel- A0 to A2 style

Do you have the springy round grounding clip (ITEM 6) around the cone / stem of the button, going into the post, where the packard like connector is? You also have to get a hold of the center (female) connector down in the post, pull it up and out a bit to attach it to the button contact...

Fan Clutch O-Rings - 24 volt fan options?

🤔 Back with the thinking cap on 🤔 Shouldn't be a problem to add an electric fan to the HumV. Lots of room on top or even in the fan shroud box. Adding another temperature switch of your design range easy too, even a manual override switch. Again not so sure why 🤔 Diesel engines...

Fan Clutch O-Rings - 24 volt fan options?

Thinking out loud here 🤔 To spin the fan on a HmwV that can move the air needed to cool it takes about 8 horse power. (read that somewhere) It's no wonder it sounds like a "wind tunnel" when it kicks in and with the drop in HP. (8 HP leaf blower) All components working as they should (key...

Front springs needed, opinions on snow plow springs

Not a ad or an endorsement. Plow spring on the front of my rig with Luverne heavy brush guard. Rides like stiff heavy duty truck on road. On the trail like wagon buck board. You don't want to hit or come down hard on them. Differently little spring action. Lifted the rig 1 1/2 inches from...

    A2 M1123 - Troubleshooting Stop Lamp Switch

NO hate here,. just brotherly love.....from a distance. 💢 So I got it now, that those wires have been removed / eliminated from the switch making the switch just a head light switch. No fiddling with the "switch" to go for a ride. Turning truck to RUN position fires up the basic honk, stop...

    A2 M1123 - Troubleshooting Stop Lamp Switch

That's a good idea to modernize the lighting switch and having to remember to flip it on or off to go for a ride. The chance to save the batteries... YEP, but with my luck a TICKET for no STOP and TURN lights. BUT... I am not so sure of your wiring schematic, as I roll it around in my pea...

    A2 M1123 - Troubleshooting Stop Lamp Switch

Hmmwv. Stop and turn lamps are the same bulb. Single contact with return on the shell. So... only one filament and it's the bright one used for you guessed it, STOP and TURN. So the turn signal switch (and the magic inside and leave it at that) prioritizes how the lamp behaves if a turn is in...

    A2 M1123 - Troubleshooting Stop Lamp Switch

AUHhhhhh YEA. Pull my finger, CAMO AND the other part of the switch releases the torque converter lock up. It is 12 volts. Screw up with voltage going in the wrong direction and it's AAMCO time.

    A2 M1123 - Troubleshooting Stop Lamp Switch

Sounds to me you need to have wife work the switch when stopping the truck.rofl That test would make some sense showing closing of the contacts with an ohm meter (is that what you did?) BUT still may not be able to handle the current of a couple of incandescent lamps as in AMPS (is that what...
