I have to agree with @Sharecropper ...
Heck of a good write-up @Barrman !
It they have anything at all that will solve the problem - just based on being able to talk to the guy you talked to 5 years ago - I would be willing to spend more money there!

Have you tried pushing the palm of your hand onto the "exit" of the purge under (on the bottom) of the air dryer? Often times due to lack of maintenance or just general crud in the airlines - the little rubber flapper that opens and closes will get stuck open. Your palm on the exit will often...

Agreed. The only reason would be when the cable gets old and rusty and starts to "shape" itself to the drum. Maybe.
Mine spools on and off easily and rolls nicely - filling up the drum and starts to fill in the third or fourth row etc
.
I dunno. If you happen to scrape a piece of stained wood - a little stain will fix it like new. Paint on the other hand will be a lot more trouble...

Yes Indeed!!
Righty Tighty only works on the RIGHT side of the truck @kenn !
Also, if you have standard BUDD rims and tandems on the rear, they sometimes get seized and the outer and inner lugs will spin off together. Lots of penetrating oil will help separate them - or torch heat.

Yeah!!! That's the stuff.
@adf5565 this is the magic that you are looking for!
@Sharecropper , This is FANTASTIC and Thank You for already having the answer!

How about a picture?
My M1089 has no pin - OR - there was never a pin in a hole on the turntable on my vehicle. The M1084 is by the same manufacturer, so logic says if one is "pinned" the other would be too.
.
You speak the truth @sp00n !
Exactly as you said it... Buy it how you want it, or expect to pay more than you would have spent to buy it "your way". Turbo upgrade and going from a 3 speed to a 4 speed are going to cost as much as buying the truck again.
