    Successful Deuce Recovery

I also got tired of wearing hearing protection while driving, so I ordered the Donaldson M070028 muffler & 2 clamps for it. I ordered the muffler from Filter Parts Pro in Arizona, and I am VERY happy with their service. I will continue to order parts from them when I can. I didn't realize...

    Successful Deuce Recovery

Been working on LOTS of little things in regards to the horn; I replaced the horn button, the horn started working again, but when I make turns the horn engages! How embarrassing. I've been tightening & wrapping parts in electrical tape all through the steering column, but now the horn doesn't...

    Deuce trailer build thread

Nice looking trailer, she's coming along very well! Good luck with your move & retirement, soon you'll have all kinds of time to work on projects.

A few questions for a newbie builder

6 395s are more than enough....the weight rating on those exceeds anything the Deuce is capable of hauling. I have a hard enough time with the 6 395s on my truck; I couldn't imagine someone putting dual 395s on the rear. How about this: try steering your Deuce with singled 395s and let me know...

A question about M35A2 running lights

Greg has a great suggestion; I installed this adapter and it works AWESOME. Plus it dims the flasher light on the steering column, so I don't get blinded at night anymore when using turn signals. Very easy to install.

    AAA wrecker service in Iraq

Keith, I sure hope your son makes it home safe & sound...those are a LOT of tours for such a young fellow. Please pass along my family's thanks to him for his service & sacrifices, we truly appreciate what he's done. And we appreciate your hard work for raising such a fine young man.

    Successful Deuce Recovery

Clint, thank you! I plan on doing quite a few trips to California & back, and want to improve my visibility (as well as non-commercial compliance...just in case). You've put some amazing kits & conversions together for these trucks and others, and provided a LOT of useful advice. For whatever...

    Successful Deuce Recovery

Thank you Tom, that is exactly what I've been planning on doing: tapping into wires #460 & 461, and running them to the rear side lights. I've been poring over the schematics and your tip for the brake wire is exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you!!

    Successful Deuce Recovery

Holy crap, now I'm getting told I've been limited on how many photos I can have per thread...apparently I've exceeded my 10 photos per thread...so much for condensing all I've done to my truck in one thread. Change indeed.

    Successful Deuce Recovery

God I hate this new website format...it's soooo much more difficult to upload photos, and I get timed-out after about 30 freaking seconds. This sucks A$$. I'm soooo stupid for renewing for another year....

    Successful Deuce Recovery

Been very busy with little fixes since my last post. I reinstalled a new 5-wire harness for Wire #27 to power the gauges & dash lights; it all works now! The fuel gauge is the only one I need to replace, I've ordered a new one from Erik's. I installed some new bulbs and all the dash lights...

Reviving the 83 ford with LDS 5 ton drive line

What Heath said. I've been getting my batteries for $20-30 each, all at only 1 year old (shelf life expired, cannot sell them retail after that) after placing them on battery testers. The worst one is 97% healthy, all the others tested better up to 100%. I've purchased about 7 of them this...

    AWESOME!! Good job!! [thumbzup]

    My first M35A2 filter change

Be prepared for leaking oil filter canisters around the base where the gaskets are supposed to seat...if they experience colder temps, the new gaskets might contract if they're not seated properly and you'll have a good oil leak from there. I lost about 1.5 gallons of oil recently when...

    One Year Later

WOW, nice work, that is a good-looking truck!!! Good job!

    Successful Deuce Recovery

I just love the new driveability of my Deuce...the power steering conversion makes a HUGE difference & is well worth the expense. But now wiring & electrical problems are driving me crazy. The fuel level, oil pressure, temperature, and electrical charge gauges don't work, so I thought I'd...
