Can someone confirm this is what is needed?
Does anyone have pictures of this set up?
12469476 Mounting plate bracket
rcsk18626 Idler pulley spacer
12380007 Pulley 8 groove
12380024 Pulley retainer
I’ve got a GEP 6.5 NA (add on BMI turbo) with a pancake compressor……..see picture with radiator pulled off.
I want to remove the compressor.
What do I have to do? Ignore the compressor pulley/tensioner and get smaller belt……and if yes how to route it??
Or do I put a pulley in place of the...
Thanks for responses.
So in summary HMMWVs (military) use mechanical IP (DB2) versus Hummers (civilian) which may use electronic IP (DS4 plus PMD).
This is attractive to me as I would think mechanical more reliable (simple) and easier to maintain or troubleshoot.
Would assume mechanical may...
Thank you….Agree. I was going to do that to get ideal placement.
Wanted to get ahead of it to see if there is a ideal number. For electrical for example likely will have to go down in gauge which may make run moredifficult or impossible, ie bending a tight corner.
For the AC didn’t know if...
Need knowledge.
Without arguing about the ‘why’ I need our experts to help me understand.
1. For an AC system what is the maximum hose length from compressor to evaporator and condenser?
I am considering experimenting with an electric compressor (similar to what is in RV). This would be...
Thank you everyone.
Is there a wire splitter with the military bullet connectors so I can just plug/play from the common wire??
Need to learn about diodes LOL.
So something like this?? https://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/fheinliforhm.html
I’ve seen several stories of failed glow plugs secondary to faulty control boxes or battery user error from plugs staying ‘on’ constantly.
Some have suggested wiring up a light that is on (or off) when the glow plugs are on as the timing light has nothing to do with whether the glow plugs are...
Here's another question if anyone has quick answer. I will keep looking in book.
Is there an OEM glass that fits this? And trim/seals????
Why would the military put a hole in this if it wasn't going to get glass?
Thank you Action. Great pdf. I think my top/parts may be newer than manual. Can't find it in there other than turret top and soft top materials.
Thanks all the same that is a great reference I will keep.
If I find it or if anyone directs me I will repost here. Thanks again.
Thank you everyone.
Correct this is I guess a 'new' style pillar. It is closed unlike the open C-type and the holes are larger.
So I was wondering both if it needs one long bolt and whether or not to drill the opening to the larger hole size.
Will look but my instinct is to use the 5/16"...
Have an OEM hardtop trying to install.
My B-pillar has a slotted C channel. The bolts/nuts go through the front and back of the B-pillar separately.
On the hartop the B-pillar is a solid rectangle. So can't use bolts/nuts like with soft top.
Does anyone have an instructional manual and/or...
