Difference between #2 - #3 Deuce Rear Ends

I know I ought to and will regret not...just depends on $$$

Difference between #2 - #3 Deuce Rear Ends

Thanks guys, yes the question was if there was a difference between the two rear ends. I'll pick the best one...50% chance of being right, right? :0)

Difference between #2 - #3 Deuce Rear Ends

My addiction started by acquiring a non-running M715 with the goal of building a high HP off road stump climber. I've been sourcing parts for the buildup. I've located a local scrapper who will be cutting up a low mileage rust bucket M35 fuel tanker. Is there any significant difference or...

    M146 RV Conversion

Thanks Ray. I have a few pics from the recovery with my phone. As soon as I slow down I'll bet back out to it with a decent camera and post some pics along with the M932A2 I recovered with it :0)

M146 Trailer Deuce Wheels accept 11:00X20 Tires?

That's a great idea if a guy could scrounge another axle from a semi- trailer that had 10 lug Budd wheels and spring brake pots. Mine doesn't have emergency spring brake pots. I'm thinking your buddy is right that the spring perches will need to be cut off and lift sections welded in to gain...

    M146 RV Conversion

Nice job Rayzer! Your thread is the reason I popped for my M146 recently. I'll try to live up to your craftsmanship and ingenuity!

M146 Trailer Deuce Wheels accept 11:00X20 Tires?

Thanks brother. The landing gear on this trailer have left and right independent cranks. I'll definitely crib under as they don't give enough height fully extended for the 5 ton to get under and load. Installing taller tires will help some. Still playing with it. Thanks for your service...

GL site down - extending auctions?

Congratulations brother! I guess the early bird definitely got the worm this time!! Those were extremely nice trucks.

M146 Trailer Deuce Wheels accept 11:00X20 Tires?

Thanks gringeltaube, I have been looking for the tire height spec sheet that I had stashed to compare tire heights, still haven't found it. If all I get is 1-1/2" of lift on the rear axle, thats still going to be a problem with the rake. Sliding under the fifth wheel is problematic at best. I...

GL site down - extending auctions?

I had same experience. Sent an email to GL when the "server down" error popped in during the last 45 mins of the auction. I was locked out of bidding from 1615 hrs EST on. Called today and they verified the servers crashed. I asked why the auction was not extended. The response "management made...

M146 Trailer Deuce Wheels accept 11:00X20 Tires?

Thanks Aaron for your insightful illumination to my "dilemema" LOL. The M146 gross weight is in the 7K range so they do bounce a bit when pulling down rough roads empty like California's Hwy 99. Hwy 99 has pot holes that will swallow a small cow! Stability would be important once we load the...

M146 Trailer Deuce Wheels accept 11:00X20 Tires?

I was wondering about that too. I have MRAP wheels with NOS Michelin XZL 395RX20's that I could use Peashooter's wheel adapters on. I ended up winning 14 NOS 11:00X20 Goodyear tires today. I called a tire store and the guy said they will cost $400 new if your lucky so I jumped in hard as...

M146 Trailer Deuce Wheels accept 11:00X20 Tires?

Thanks a million guys, that cinches it, I'm bidding on some NOS Goodyear 11:00X20 tires. That should get me at least 4 inches of elevation I'm thinking....

M146 Trailer Deuce Wheels accept 11:00X20 Tires?

I just acquired a M146 single axle command trailer in beautiful condition. It has NOS NDT 9:00 X 20 NDT tires mounted on the six lug deuce wheels. I have it hooked up to a M932A2 truck tractor. The trailer mounted to the truck is on a pretty extreme rake front higher than the rear. Can you mount...

Cummins 6CTA idle oil pressure 10psi, 2000 RPM pressure 45-50

Just picked up a NOS M931A2 with 13 miles and 9 hrs on the clock. Oil pressure at start up is just under 60 psi, settles to 30 psi after warmup. If you allow it to idle for a bit it settles down to a tick over 10 psi. If you bump the throttle it immediately pops up. Made me nervous too.

    Bunk Trailer for FRFS

Very nice unit! Mounting a couple of Michelin 395/85R20s on MRAP wheels would sure give you extra flotation and appearance boost :0) Peashooters adapter plates make it a cinch.

    Somethings amiss with GL...

Without mentioning any specific auction on GL, has anyone noticed that their active bidding and watch lists have been all but deleted by GL? Most of Calif, NV and Texas active auctions are mostly MIA, only a few items remain. I was engaged in about 20 active bids, only 3 remain. I also had two...

    Hentzen CARC

They sure do and can get any of the MV CARC paint colors. Ask for Eric. Very helpful young man. I've bought CARC paint and their epoxy primer for my M923.

    Humvee has its trailer finally.

I don't have any shimmy issues with my M1102 which has the hardtop with bifold doors on it. I wonder if the weight of the hardtop settles it down. I have pulled it for distances of 250 miles at 70 MPH w/o issue. I do air up the humvee tires on it to 35psi and the trailer specs call for 18 psi I...

    Hentzen CARC

Give these guys a call. Its where I've got my CARC paint and they are great to deal with. They have all the spec sheets for the paint. Eric Martinez, Customer Service Aktion Supply Inc. is an "Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business" 28310 Avenue Crocker Unit A Valencia, CA...
