    Believed Tire Problems

Mixing Goodyears and Michelin XZLs may be your problem on the harmonic balance of the truck. They are a totally different tread designs. Also the Goodyears have rounded lug shoulders whereas the Michelins have an aggressive flat face with sharp edges. I have trucks with both brands of tires, I'm...

Yup, you can just change out the bulbs. Add a MV trailer plug end on your truck readily available from Eric's Military and industrial Surplus. All you need are four wires to the MV plug end. Now if you really want to get wazu buy the Grote LED taillamp assemblies, you then can run the trailer...

Does Coolant Circulate Thru Heater Core at All Times?

There should be a shut off valve at each heater hose union. Its a simple brass screw down gate valve. Just went thru this with my M936A1. Removed the heater core in about 20 minutes and had it repaired at a radiator shop for $55.

    Lam Son 719--Living & Transporting

Any of you gun truckers serve with a troop by the last name of Fox, blonde haired med size guy. We were MOS 64C30 truck drivers diverted to Ft Wainwright, AK during the 71 Feb "de escalation". Ft Wainwright had the highest 1049 voluntary transfer to Viet Nam in the Army. The last I heard from...

M939 series transfer case low range / front axle engagement

Thanks brother! That makes total sense to me now and explains the "why" the transfer case lever can be engaged/disengaged with the air pressure bled off. Its always been tough to pull it into neutral and again to return to high range. Its actually good to know now if a guy gets in trouble trying...

M939 series transfer case low range / front axle engagement

Thanks Albert, when the issue started on Saturday we could hear the resounding click while pushing the button with engine off but still had the problem. Sunday I don't think we could hear it but we were rushed getting the job done. We played with the 2 wires from the transfer stick back down the...

M939 series transfer case low range / front axle engagement

We finished lifting and moving the shed this past weekend with our M936A1. My problem continues, can't get the transfer case into neutral unless I pump the brakes down and bleed the air pressure off to about 30 psi. Same thing goes when its time to put it back into high range after using the...

M939 series transfer case low range / front axle engagement

We were using my M936A1 wrecker today to sling load a shed. We couldn't get the transfer case into neutral no matter how many times we pushed the button and applied pressure to the lever. We ended up adjusting the linkage as the lever lays on the floor and my other two M923's lever is elevated...

    m939 Heater Core

Well reinstalled the heater core today with new heater hose and clamps. Similar to Juan I used actual rubber door/window sticky back molding 1" wide. That will hold up better than the sticky back crush foam that was OEM. During the install I discovered the round felt air dam insulator from the...

    M923a1 alternator voltage gauge readings

Well I'll revive the thread. My M936A1 wrecker will occasionally pop over into the RED on the volt meter and the LED headlights will flash on and off on low beam. It doesn't matter if the lever light switch is off or on. I can get the lights to stop flashing by putting them on high beam with the...

    m939 Heater Core

    put a built 383 ls1 in my m715

Nice! We're on a slow build M715 with a Keith Black 383 stroker over 2.5 ton Rockwells mounted with MRAP 24 bolt aluminum wheels and Michelin 395/85R/20s. I imagine we'll have a bit more parasitic loss than you :0)
