I had planned on getting a video but like usual I started working on it at the last moment when I got something else done. I forgot about getting the video until about an hour later. I blamed it on my son. I will have pics when I drive it around.
Thanks for the comments. I like the color compared to the faded carc 383. I am going to leave the top as is for now. I need to stitch up the rear window. It is coming apart at the bottom. Other than this the top is good as new.
The dark red oxide probably contributed to the color being off.

I was able to finish up the painting on the exterior last Sunday. Now I have pics. Today I checked the left tank and found the sending unit bad. I pumped the full tank on the left over to the right as the sending unit worked on the right. I still have a good reserve in the left tank for my...
I got the M151A1 running today. I put a boat tank on the carb and pumped the primer bulb while taking out the main jet. I pumped until clear gas came out from the bottom of the carb. I replaced the jet then shot some either in the carb. I put in my cucv batteries and checked to make sure I was...
I think the stenciling idea is much better than adding a plate or stamping into the frame. Nothing will take the place of the original stamping but you will be able to help people see what is stamped with the stenciling.
Leave it alone. Do not do anything. If you ever need to verify the numbers police use an acid solution to bring out serial numbers that have been filed off guns. When stamped the metal under the stamp becomes more dense then the surrounding metal. The solution brings out the numbers clear as...
Thanks Matt. I heard that JPP makes some panels that Mac's does not make but I will most likely get stuff from Mac's then get the panels that Mac does not offer from JPP.
Thanks
Chuck
The subject line pretty much sums it up. Any one used panels from the guy in FL selling on Ebay? Any opinion on quality or fit? He is listed as Mack's Militia but the ebay store name is fl-tacticalsupply.

RE: jeep
He no longer has a website. I think 207-743-7671 is his phone number. I called him and should be getting a catalog in the next couple of days.
RE: Need info on mutt
I have a request in to jeep panels plus to send me a catalog. Thanks for the input. I can make out the dished sections but most everything else is gone.
Thanks
Chuck
I have a big hole in the floor that was at one time a place to put my batteries. I have seen battery trays from several places. Is this what I need to fix the floor or is this something that bolts to the floor of the battery box? Anyone got pics of the battery box with the batteries removed...
I was at the annual Rolling Sculpture car show in Ann Arbor. It included a plymouth minivan covered in blue plastic carpet grass. I also had the deuce at Motor Muster. I am really shocked that someone said that to you L1A1. I actually was asked to attend two other shows. One was an...
While at a car show on Friday I had a Norwegian man take a long look at the deuce. In broken English he told me about his compulsory service and how he was a deuce driver in the Army. He told me about running super singles instead of duals. He seemed to be very happy to see on after what must...
I did get two pics from the car show. They are of a prototype three wheel jeep. The tub is wider and can carry three people shoulder to shoulder in the front and three in the back. It had the shifter on the tree. The guy said his was number one. I asked about seeing one in a magazine and he said...
