Batteries are fine. Starts right up when you jump the starter...and runs great. Just can't start it with the main switch. The switch is either bad, a fuse is out, or a relay is bad.
Just like anything else, shouldn't there be a way to safely start my 803A by jumping the starter? Tried in vain many times to repair issues with the switch and everything in between the switch and the starter. Some of you tried to help me with it a few months back. Now I just want it to run when...
Lol...802A has been repaired and is in good working order since two months ago. The 803a runs great, just have to jump start it every time. I read the TM, work on the 803s until I'm frustrated, and take a day off, and then go at it again. I'm old, half blind, and somehow managed to carry a bad...
I got the 802a running great after replacing the fuse. I can jump start the 803a (10K) and it sounds super quiet and looks new, but it won't start at the switch.
I'm having issues with gauges also...Both my oil pressure and fuel gauges are pegging out when ever I start the motor...1097 4-speed. The needles jump all the way to 100%+...
I bought an 803A 10K too. Will start and run awesome if I jump the starter, but otherwise will not start at the switch. The 30amp fuse capsule and the 30 amp fuse was missing from FU1, so I replaced them thinking it would fix the issue. Still won't start at the switch...it clicks, but power is...
By looking at this pic, is the oil filler tube broke off in the motor, or is this actually what the new filler tube goes into? Also, if it's broken off, is it threaded, or can I just pull it out? 1998 M1097 3 speed 6.5L.
Everything checks out on the new 803A 10K. The fuel pump works when I try and start it, but it won't turn over (and gauges are not working), so I am hoping this fixes it for me. Just the top of the fuse holder and the fuse were missing, but I'll just replace the entire thing.
