Let me add this unrelated related information. I transported Swiss' LME 2 years ago. The person who came up with the name for the LME had a ridiculously odd sense of humor. There isn't anything light about that structure and if the fleas of 1000 camels infested his underwear, I would be okay...
The 90° bolt angle was necessary for the center mount turbo. It wasn't a perfecf design but a necessary design to put diesels in vans.
I also agree that it just directs air into the engine. I would seriously ponder the feasibility if modding the intake just to get it on the road.
Hi folks. There are 69 days remaining before this excellent event. Make sure you have a funds plan for this event. $10 a day gets for the next 69 days gets you a nice little stash. Even a dollar a day would cover a weekend meal ticket. If that is too much, volunteering to serve others at...
Since I am not an M35A3 expert, what steps will need to be added to the process relating to the CTIS? Can it be used in any way with a tee to air both tires?
The SN starting with an M is idicative of a Stude for sure. The stamped frame number is like none I've ever seen. Please post a pic of it and show us where you found it. The Stude stamping is usually near the front of the left frame rail, not near the shock mount like many others.
I have had great luck with redux starters. I read all the horror stories here and I'm surprised my truck started once, much less every time for the last 4 years. Add to that, its a china knockoff that was supposed to be an interim starter. I was lucky enough to score a CME arma redux a couple...
If you have an injector problem, you will likely know it. I had one fail on a roadtrip and it sure was apparent. Few shots with the laser heat gun and I suspected where the problem was. 15 minutes, a few burnt fingers and one used injector later, I was in full boogie.
Well, they didn't come with a ball so yours has been retrofitted. The 4 bolt pintle balls combos are not costly so you could replace it. Give it a real close look, you might find a mfrs name or a number to search. This would help in finding a replacement ball.
2 things. With the key in the run position, remove and replace that pink wire on the IP. You should hear an audible click from the shut off solenoid. The 2 odd lines that are insulated are refrigerant lines for the A/C.
I can see why PA has inspections. Without them, some folks would likely drive vehicles made of mostly old parts and rust. It's also a revenue grab. Requiring an odometer seems a little extreme. My M1010 hasn't been on public road in 18 months.
I don't know if it's somethingnwith the 4811 bulbs or the housings but I went through a bunch of bulbs on my old deuce. They would fry and crack after every install. Drove me crazy thinking it was a wiring issue. Ended up just being crappy bulbs.
I've never had a throttle cable break but after hearing the horrors of the aftermarket cables, I watched for NOS ones. Over the last few years I managed to rathole enough to keep me going for a spell.
My contact truck has the factory 6.2 with an SM465 box. It's a challenge to get it up to speed in the mountains but it's fine once it gets there. Truck weighs 8400# with tools. For low speed moving and crawling, it's just great. My failing knees object to the 3rd pedal.
