Ok, scrap my thoughts about mixing parallel and series wiring for various loads and using computer controlled relays. A much simpler option would be to get more heating elements and wire some of them in series permanently as follows:
Would be much easier to wire and I wouldn't have to worry...
Wow, that M1101/M1102 with the raised platform and dual 803s and a built in fuel-tank looks like the ultimate setup for a pair of 80x gens.
With the 103/105 being 2,700 empty, that is way heavy for what I need I think.
Really appreciate all the links and pics!
I suppose I could add a 2nd set...
Digged up this old thread.
I just ordered 4 of these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P66L54T?psc=1&smid=A3K0MKFIP79CN&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp
They are rated for the standard 5,400 watts each. So in theory I should be able to configure for the following loads:
2,700 watts (2 in series)
5,400 watts...
What is the model of the larger trailer? M103A31 1.5 ton? Like this one:
Looks like there are 3 different trailers. The 1 ton M116A3, the one pictured above (M103A31?) and the one with the dual nose wheel. The one above looks like it would be the biggest pain to service, where the nose...
Yes, I have 5 802s taking up space. 2 are running and I'm working on the 3rd and 4th one. The 5th one is a parts machine. I plan to keep the 803 and one 802 and sell the rest. Consolidating both the 803 and 802 onto the trailer will free up a lot of floor space.
I recently had a 6 day power...
I'm toying with the idea of mounting these 2 on a M116A3 trailer as follows:
The 803 would be in front mounted sideways since it is longer than the 802. The M116A3 is wider than the trailer pictured above and would not extend past the siderails even though it is longer than the 802. This...
I'll be damned. That worked:
I have a 803 (2000 vintage) I just picked up that came with 3 gauges that have blue housing like the fuel gauge above. They have no logo on the dial face. Any idea who made those?
I stole 3 nice Beede gauges out of a spare 802 and put those in my 803:
I...
I got 5 802As. Some are runners and some are parts. Some have working gauges that are cracked and others have intact glass but the gauge isn't working.
Is there a way to remove the front glass bezel from one gauge and put it on another? Maybe heat up that black surround?
Was on the phone with Hagerty today looking for a quote for a M817 I'm looking at. Even through I have a pole barn to store it in, they denied because it is a dump truck and assumed I would be hauling stuff with it. Told them I would just be tooling around with it on my own property and...
I'm very close to picking up a M817 and I live in Virginia. I'm sort of OK with the MSMV restrictions as the only time I need to take the M817 on the road, is to pick up a few 10ton loads of gravel at the quarry about 15 miles away a few times a year. I don't know how hard they would bust my...
Made some decent progress on unit #3 this past weekend. This is about as good am I'm going to be able to hone the cylinder walls:

That 2nd cylinder still has some pitting, but they are very shallow now...
I can assure you those photos are all real. I have the John Deere H260 loader. Here are the specs:
I have the Mechanical Self Leveling model (MSL), and as you can see from the above specs, it will lift a 4,400 lbs object to 1.5 meters and a 3,500 lbs object to max lift height.
That Saab...
I'm a master at Photoshop. Here's another one I did. ;)
Here's one I did lifting a mature loblolly. ;)
Just did this render of a larger generator. Notice the shadow detail on the ground. Looks very realistic.

You are very welcome Deoje. I'm also learning a lot during the process from all the helpful folks here on this forum!
Thanks Ahab. No I'm not a former USN or any other branch of the military. Back in the day (80's) I worked on rebuilding and tuning radio broadcast equipment, then I started...
Cool sidebar guys. That is one clean looking power plant. Lol at the boss guy trying to pick up your keys!
I was successful in extracting the lifers and cam out of the "donor" 802 with the broken piston. It was in much better condition. I kept everything in the same order...
Believe it or not, I only just got around to installing the INOVA remote starer PCB in my 003 this past weekend, so everything is finally fully automated. Picked up a 24V 3 stage charger last week as well, to keep my batteries in good shape.
Here's a couple of shots of the INOVA remote start...
After 4.5 hours, it switched to float charge state and the bright red LED turned green and the internal fan went silent. The power LED continued glow a dim red.
Just had to be a bit more patient I suppose. Now its time to install the auto start circuit board from inova tech.
I picked up the $50 5A charger in the first post, this one:

And I got a pair of these on my 003...
