Buy a new set of half shafts at autozone 16058n, 16059n, 16060n are the part numbers. A simple search for autozone and half shafts yielded this result.
Just a note here, If the glow plug wiring harness in your truck has all of the glow plug wires the same length and coming from a single separate connector you need to get rid of it right away. That is the LAU box that caused trucks to start by themselves and others to crank until the batteries...
The gauges in the HMMWV, with the exce[tion of the voltmeter are current gauges and if you lose the ground to the panel they'll read high like yours. A poor ground wil cause them to read on the low side because it's opposing the flow of current thru the gauges. Check to make sure there is a...
High Lock is used to lock all 4 wheels into drive. It's only used offroad because it doesn't allow the differentials to operate the way their designed to.
The sensor on the water crossover manifold is for the fan, not the temp gauge. The gauge sensor lives in the left front cylinder head behind the alternator. From the looks of the corrosion on the solenoid in your KDS box it's been getting wet for some time.
There's a dozen places online where you can buy a 4L80 transmission pan with a drain plug already in it for around $30. Why go thru the trouble to hack one up yourself?
Gentlemen, The cancellation of the April event is demoralizing but understandable. Our club is aging and this virus likes to focus on seniors so we all need to be careful.
For years I've heard all the comments about folks not being able to attend the September meet because they had limited...
I just took a look at my copy of the TM 9 2320-280-34 and mine only shows the R & R of the transfer case, nothing about rebuilding it. What I think we're looking for here is the depot rebuild manual and they normally end with a -40 number.
Both of these antennas are designed for use in the VHF spectrum from 30 -75 Mhz and I don't think either would work particularly well in the UHF world. Look for a RF-390 or an MP-3512 antenna rated from 30 - 512 Mhz. If your looking for long distance comms your going the wrong way. You want...
One of the easiest places to do this would be to use one of the "Y" wiring adapters and connect it in the #27 lead that feeds power to the instrument panel 5 lead spider.
Keep in mind that this will be a switched 24v lead and will only be hot when the ignition switch is in the RUN position...
Somewhere online recently I saw the manual for the HMMWV shifter and thought I'd downloaded it. Now I can't find it and wondered if anyone else has seen it. It was a full breakdown of the shifter assembly only.
TIA!
I've probably got 15 sets of soft doors that all need the windows either restitched or replaced and I can't find a shop here in Silicon Valley that will do them. The boat shop I used to deal with in Lodi burnt down last year. Anyone in the Bay Area know a good shop?
Thanks
