That indicator is basically a vacuum gauge that indicates the - pressure in the air filter housing. If it's rising to the top when you give it gas it indicates something is restricting the air that's getting to the filter. Got a birds nest in the fording stack?
Sounds to me like the ground lead on the flasher unit isn't making good contact and after moving around a little bit finally does. You didn't include much information to work from like whether or not you have incandescent lamps or LEDs or if any changes have been made to the system recently...
m998tom, If you download a copy of the TM 9 2320-280-34P it will give you a breakdown of every nut and bolt required for whatever variant of hardtop you decide to go with. They can all be downloaded from the topmost posting, "If you need it it's here"
Newark, Digikey, Mouser or my favorite for MS series connectors, Connector Distribution down in Los Angeles. Ask for Mike.
MS3102(x)24-11P is the side connector
MS3102(x)22-23P is the top connector

Yes, gear oil is an oil but it's high sulfur content and therefore is considerably different than motor oil and needs a different product to seal it. What you want is PermaTex 81182 green sealant for hubs and differentials...
If your fuel system is operating normally the IP can draw enough fuel to help a failing mechanical pump until it gives up the ghost entirely. Disconnect the #54 wire from the top of the IP so the truck won't try to start and crank it with the fuel petcock open and see what kind of flow you have...
When I first got my truck the fan didn't work and I looked into an electric fan. Flex-a-lite makes 24 volt fans and some nice variable speed controllers so you can leave the fan powered up all the time and then it will ramp the speed up and down as needed. Seemed like a good solution but the...
Find an old time reupholstery shop that does things the old way. Most of them used to replace the windows in convertibles and sports car tops. They might still have a machine capable of handling something the size of your window or side doors for when the sun eats the threads out of the...
The fording panel is something that was made locally from some sheet metal and won't be in the parts manuals. The right A pillar should be in there and I obviously found it once because I bought one for my truck but I couldn't find it either. I'll look back in my receipt log and see if I can...
There's nothing wrong with the wiring harness other than you have to drill another hole in the panel to use it. The problem is the Lau boxes would intermittently start cranking a vehicle and that would either kill the batteries or cause the starter to burn out. They were pulled almost...
If you want to remove frozen bolts buy yourself some KROIL and soak the rust with it. It's never failed me to undo rusted fasteners. I learned about it in the Navy where we would soak salt welded fasteners to get them apart. Fantastic stuff! KANO LABS.
