I had to go on Ft Hood first thing in the morning with a OTR truck and trailer, took an extra hour to get on post for all the contractor coming on post at the same time. Once on post it was like 5 o'clock traffic at 8 am. So glad I lived in the barracks when I was there 20 years ago, but it was...
Another fix to these heaters that I have found, remove the 4 skrews that mount the K8 relay to the front panel, and let the K8 relay hang down in the return air flow. Also remove the mounting bracket and the cover that is held on with a single skrew. There is some resistor inside the relay...
Ran into the same issue as before.... thinking I had found the problem, I reinstalled K8, and then the heater was up to its same tricks.... red light of death, no heat, no fuel psi. Removed K8 again, worked flawlessly when not mounted correctly. This time when I reinstalled K8, I did not mount...
K8 relays.... (the red light of death and the reset button)... here is the back story, had heater working last year, sat it outside over last summer, pulled it in to my big shop to work out there today, and no workie. Kept getting the red light of death, meaning K8 would reset but red light...
Massey, The problem that I have found with the 4 heaters that I run that caused the same fault that you had, running a few minutes then trips the buzzer. The only thing that I have found that fixed the problem was adjust the flame detector so that it can 'see' straight down the tube. All 4...
Why would you not use the 'R' terminal to connect the butt connected wire from the old alt? It uses AC volts. I think the wire #is 599 or 566, that wire goes to the PCB and tells the PCB that the truck is running and it will function properly. What do you do with the other small wire, i dont...
I just tagged mine as private use, got a plate that is just like on my pickup. Have insurance from usaa through progressive. CDL is NOT required to drive because its title as a private vehicle ( just like one of those old people driving campers that are bigger than my house)
Thanks for the spreadsheet, there are a couple numbers that are in the wrong place,
line 91listed as air filter - napa fil 3472 is a fuel water seperator
fleet fs1251 is a fuel water seperator
Guess I could just go for the 920, loose the tag and 3k lbs.
Thats why I havent even considered changing my truck/trailers over to super singles, I have a greater sense of security with my spare already mounted next to the one that just gave birth to little alligators all over the highway.
So what is the difference between the 916 and the 920 other than the tag axle, wheel base?
I might be in the mood for one, just dont know which one to pick. The tag does me no good since I dont haul heavy, the wheel base would be nice for a smoother ride, but when I would be driving it smooth...
