How far can a M109 tilt to the side?

Generally speaking, there is not a predetermined angle that any vehicle will roll over at. Sure, you can find the tipping-point for anything, but in the real-world it will most likely never be exactly the same angle twice. There are just too many factors that contribute to something like that...

Changing caster angle solved problems with G-177 tires

Are they steel or aluminum? Would not use aluminum shims if I were you. They tend to crack and fall out, which is not so awesome...

    M35A3 Fiberglass Hoods

Oh, cool. So you actually built those hoods for the A3's. Then there's a big difference between buying parts from you vs. some guy who just ended up with the mold. Wasn't sure what the deal was.

    M35A3 Fiberglass Hoods

Sounds pretty reasonable to me if you can come close to matching the milspec quality. I see way at least $1000 in the milspec hood that I've got. Easily. Just a thought, but there might be a bigger market for an A3 composite type hood, but made to fit A2's. Am going to make a custom grill to...

    Show us your Military Trailers

How sketchy was it towing those two trailers with no brakes?

    Hubsteps for Deuces

Received the new samples and they look great. Much better than those parts that I had Ballistic cut for me. Satisfied with the quality, went ahead and ordered 10pr. Price will be $150pr. That will include priority flat-rate shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 and they will come...

    Lifting and 53's

Not trying to be an *******, but that looks really sketchy. These cut-and-welded steering arms are putting a ton of extra leverage on the knuckle. They were not design to take those kind of loads, and if you do a quick search on pirate4x4, you'll see that knuckle failures are not uncommon among...

Anybody have any specs to make spin filter adapters?

Wouldn't have any problem hosting CAD files or blueprints for the parts being discussed in this thread, but nobody has submitted anything to the CAD Library yet. But am probably just going to purchase a set for my new LDS, so won't go to the trouble to take all those dimensions myself.

    Thanks to clintogf !

Bought one of those transfercases from clintogf too, and had a similarly excellent excperience dealing with her. She helped to arrange shipping, and even paid a little bit extra to get it to a terminal closer to me. Thanks again.

Anybody have any specs to make spin filter adapters?

Yeah, I get it. Everyone's got an opinion, and in the end, everyone is free to do what they please. Am just surprised that we're still talking about it. In general, I'm a big supporter of open-source projects, sharing resources, information, etc. Even host a CAD Library on Trails Less Traveled...

    Hubsteps for Deuces

Think I've found a place to get these hubsteps made. Cost has gone way up though. But hopefully, the quality will reflect that. Planning on having a small batch of these made, and will not be taking any money until I have parts ready to ship, but would like to hear from anyone who is interested...

    Official Deuce Aftermarket Wheel Thread

Nice work so far treeguy! Sure would be cool if those wheels were more widely available. Makes it so much easier not having to cut out the stock center-sections.

    planning an LDS swap

Trying to coordinate a tow down to get the rig sandblasted and painted, then it will finally be time to reassemble. Has been virtually no progress in recent months, as can't really do anything until it's painted, and my sandblaster/painter has been jammed-up with other projects.

Saw an air braked M35a2 yesterday

I don't understand what the big fuss is all about. Personally, I don't care how the brakes are actuated. I care about how well they work. There's absolutely nothing inherently wrong with hydraulic brakes, and there are even a few advantages over air brakes for this type of application. From all...

    Alternative to Bobbing?

Planning on doing something sort of like this on mah deuce. Wouldn't use a Ballistic ANYTHING. These are what you'd want to use.

    mah deuce

Has been a while since I've posted any updates, but may deuce is finally going to get sandblasted and painted! Can't wait to get it all put back together.
