Thanks. Just got all those parts ordered from Memphis. Would have just ordered them when I got the pan gasket, but that was before the engine hoist failed and now I'd rather not have to deal with pulling parts off the old engine.

So looks like there are two oil pump pickup tubes. I need to swap both of them out, right?

Also, regarding the oilpan, is it simply a matter of flipping parts around and moving the dipstick, or am I going to need to pull parts out of the old engine?

Hey, thanks again for hooking me up with that valve Bjorn. Installed it on the new LDS engine today, and will probably end up taking it off to clean it up a bit, but it's finally all starting to come together.

Even then, it's still only flat plate. Really needs to be boxed-in (add sides) and mounted to the chassis at the back if you want to build something that can take hard hits.

fuel tanks are definitely on the list of things I'll be building skidplates for. Side protection too.

Found the torque specs for the flywheel, but what about the bellhousing and transmission? Probably not too critical, but would like to do this 'right'.

Can anybody help me identify these bearings? They came with the LDS engine, and am assuming that one of them is a throwout bearing. Wondering if it will work with my 2.5-ton transmission? No idea about the other one. Feels much too large to be a pilot bearing. They're just in sealed packages and...

The 1 3/4" master cylinder is going to build more pressure when used with the Hydro-Max 2 booster. It's the most powerful combination of parts, and the stock master cylinder is 1 3/4", so should have enough fluid volume. Gonna give it a try anyway...

Ordered all the Hydro-Max parts from Precision Rebuilders this morning. They have to build a custom master cylinder for me because it's a unique configuration, with all of the specific features that I want to have for this application (50/50 1 3/4" master cylinder, with a pressure differential...

They're pretty expensive and I'd prefer to use parts that I could replace at any auto parts store.
