Run the fuel line into a jug of diesel. This will tell you if your problem is with the fuel tank.
Edit - also check all your lines and fittings between the lift pump and the small filter on the block.

Between the lift pump and the little filter on the block is a fitting with a fuel pressure sensor. Check that as its prone to crack and leak.

You have a sensor that failed. They fail on. Replacing the failed sensor will resolve it.

Today we drove 100miles each way and bought a lift pump from Cummins in El Paso.
All issues resolved with a new lift pump. Truck is now running like it should. I'll drive it to KS using just the driver side fuel tank and then restore the selector valve and passenger side tank once I'm there.
