Yes, on HEMTT rims. On 5ton combat rims they rub. HEMTT rims are really the only viable option with the 16.00's. This adds weight and cost. That said, 16.00's are still my first choice unless bottom end acceleration is an issue.

This directly conflicts with my experience. Here's what I experienced with operating the rear PTO on my M936A2 - Transmission in neutral. T-case in neutral. Engage the rear PTO. Transmission in 1-5. (Remains at idle). Immediatley adjust throttle for 1500+ rpms.

Pinion brakes are good for very low speeds. Think about how fast the pinion spins in comparison to the wheels, and what that does for friction and heat...
