Don't forget your easel with sign and all your trophys. Seriously, if the HMMWV becomes the target of LEOs, they may make you prove your intentions in court. What's the old saying, "You can beat the rap but you can't beat the ride". That's figuratively speaking of course.
Were this the case, just a knee jerk reaction to dealing with an MV, how would one explain all of the other MVs that were titled and registered?
The HMMWV is a fraction of the hobby and the off road stamp was not "Rubber stamped" by some lowly employee who just didn't want to complete...
This was inevitable once the first off road only HMMWV was put on the road. It's only going to get worse when all the state DMVs realize that folks have been trying to flank them to get these off road only vehicles tagged. Lots of folks will be saying told ya so.
This info is right out of NAVFAC P-300. The 21 on the door indicates batching. Not much use at all.
The Navy doesn't include the year in the registration number like the AF does.

Yes it still has the unit. It is a Trac Lock made by Spicer. The True Trac is a torque biasing differential made by the folks that make Detroit No-Spins.
In stock trim, the CUCV sucks at mild elevation and hills kill it. Towing 5000# in FL was doable. Here in the N GA mountains, 1500# sucks the life out of the truck. This has been my experience and I own more than one.
You can separate them leaving the torque converter attached to the flex plate. Leave one easy to reach trans bolt in place and lift engine until it clears the clamshell then block up trans to that height. Balance of the engine will be a guess on your part. Keep them aligned as best as possible...
I'm not a big fan of adding duals to anything. Wait, what in the heck am I saying, I add duals to everything, your M37A1 looks great. Who's next? Still waiting on an M715 with duals.
Hillbilly Wizard had a supply of NOS rears for a while. Many of them were converted to rear disc and at one point, he had a stash of brake parts. I bought a pair of NOS backing plates with everything attached. I'd say he would be my second stop after searching here. Many members have done the...
I had a similar situation with stiff leg jacks on my old M756A2. In the end, I ended up putting tension on them with a deuce winch and employing a long chain. With as much tension as the winch could apply, I went to the rosebud torch. Right after heating sections, I would beat on the chain with...
I as well, have done many dozen rotor replacements and used existing studs. No issues at all. If at all possible, use a press to seat them. If you must draw them in with a lugnut or hammer them in with a drift, make sure you retighten the lugs many times in the first few miles and check them...
