F-4 Phantom was indeed a gorgeous plane. An older guy that I know flew those in Vietnam. His comment was that it had a glide slope like a rock without power. His mental decision was that if the plane failed to respond to input, it was time to punch out...

@silverstate55 , The only thing wrong with all the useful information you offered is that OUR GOVERNMENT isn't smart enough to use it. I would be willing to bet you that there isn't a single congressman or senator that lives "off grid" and actually knows what it would take to live that way.
I...

Well... Since you own the truck, you might not be driving it through deep water. Funny how that works. When it belongs to somebody else, driving through water up to the doors isn't a big deal. When you own it, chances are that you will be a little more conservative.
A patch on the bottom...

How hard is the pull to the left or right? Is is possible that you have a really heavy spring on the accelerator peddle? Normally pushing that right peddle wouldn't make it happen - but that could be your pull to the left...

That is DEFINITELY a nice looking truck.
Funny how it works...
We have a (Insert Truck Name Here) and we almost drove the wheels off it.
Then, for whatever reason - or maybe even "life happens" and it goes away.
Always looking in the reard view mirror wishing you hadn't sold it...
A lot like...

Chances are that following the cut cables may be easier than it seems. Often times on these trucks, part of the DeMil process is just cutting cables that ran radios. Radios are gone. They don't spend a lot of effort to neatly clip and remove the excess wire. I suggest following the cut...

Yes Sir! And the hard part is that the popular idea of nuclear power is evil will never let the utility companies improve their ability to generate more electricity. Lake Mead measured at 1043.82 feet (in elevation) Thursday (6/23/2022) morning. That is 185 feet below "full pond".
So, we...

Here in the big city, plain regular gas.
Down two cents from yesterday.
What a DEAL - Right? Makes me want to zip right out and buy myself an electric car so I can save even more money?

.
Good Deal @Rhino 5/4 ! The little guys should have another great adventure! That really is cool that you guys get to have that fun.

Hey, bleeders "ain't pretty" but the one that I built years ago works really well! Nothing like being able to do it as a one man job too...
Picture below is...

Yes sir, mine is a runner. It came with a functional cab with doors that operate and windows that raise and lower. I was fortunate and it came out for a trip across the auction block more than a year ago. I was the second owner and the guy I got it from is a first class wrench turner. She...

If you ever get your hands on a Magnetic Base drill - you won't ever drill anything "frame related" without one. Yeah, the Milwaukee compact version is a thousand bucks and that is a lot of money but your time has to be worth something.
Long ago, I built a version that was just a half inch...
.
Well... If you can figure out how to build doors without going broke, there are quite a few folks who need doors for the MK23. That same bunch of people also need tops to keep out the weather as well.
.
Well, I guess the happy part is that you found your problem. My opinion is that there isn't any way to reliably repair it. You already know what a PITA is was to take it out. Putting it back won't be any easier. The third time when you are on the side of the road when the epoxy shakes...
.
Yes Sir. Same stuff.
Here it is in bulk.
Picture below:
This isn't necessarily the best or worst but it has worked well for me for a lot of years. You can find it easily online with a quick search by name.

Is that "white fuzzy looking" stuff on the contacts oxidation? If it is, some cleaning and anti-oxidation paste on the connections would help for sure. If you aren't getting good "contact" between the post and the terminal - that will definitely cause performance and reliability problems.
.
Obviously you will read more about the missing doors - but I offer you the best of luck with that. Or maybe you can pull out a few thousand bucks (each) out of your wallet. I sure wish somebody would come across the warehouse that has all of the original doors just sitting there waiting to...

Like @Guruman mentioned, aligning the yolks is the same as "Indexing". I was a little lazy and snagged an image off the web rather than crawling under a truck to take a picture. ANYHOW, picture below is what we are talking about. Align the joints is another way of saying "index your drive...

Well then we need to Welcome you and your New-To-You truck to the Outfit! She does look pretty straight and a little sanding and painting should be easy enough? I spy a tiller in the back, so there may be more than trucks to occupy your spare time. Don't hesitate to change the title of your...
