That looks great. Nice job. Now that I see yours in camouflage I think ill do the same when I repaint. Where and how are you going to mount your license plates?

Talk Me Out of This M1009

Photo # 8 shows some shiny oil soaked steel from the engine compartment. You may want to check to see where its coming from and use that as a angle to lower the price.

    Twisted body on M1009

Rick, If you run it back to Rausch Creek and go back down the same trail in the opposite direction then your body should twist back to its original shape; No?

    What am I Looking at

Your passenger side mirror may need some adjustment. On second thought I wouldn't buy the truck now.

CUCV head gasket / head/ or change engine survey

It all depends on what the wife says. At least in my case it does.

    Headlights flashing on and off

That's handy, I manually turn my headlights off when backing up at night to see better. But I don't think I will spend the time to tear down my column to modify it.

    New M1009 Owner

You may want to check for fuel leaks under your intake.Take off the air cleaner and check for wet areas in the back. If its a fuel leak it tends to drip down the drain channel in back of the motor and drops it in front of the tranny. Looks just like oil by the time it hits the ground. If it is...

M1009 Rear Glass to Sash Relationship (What keeps em together?)

As Mg84648;1683118 said. The only difference on mine was I used urethane windshield caulk and the rubber seal that came with the track from LMC. I just let the caulk dry over night before my install. That was a recommendation from the glass shop.

How to make a M1008 military whip antana work with a CB?? Can this be done?

A MX 6707 base with matching whip works fine on my M1009. Just had to turn the tuning knob manually till I got a good radio match and cut about 10" off the antenna. Works great for a few miles out even tied down.

    M1009 Rear Window Advice Please

CUCVRUS, I rebuilt the tail gate when I first got it. All new side tracks, rubber, crank, and lift gears. Thought the glass would be fine till I saw a few M1009s with tint and changed my mind. Thanks for the helpful advise.

    M1009 Rear Window Advice Please

You can have my old window glass from my M-1009 when I replace it with new tinted. I wanted to tint my windows but they are scratched up to much. The auto glass shop can still get the glass new and tinted for less than $100 for the rear and $70 for each side (their cost). With that said why...

CUCV M1009 Passenger-Side Alternator Gremlin (yeah yeah, I know)

You should disconnect and fully trickle charge both batteries. I still think you have a bad battery that is not taking a charge from your alternator.

CUCV M1009 Passenger-Side Alternator Gremlin (yeah yeah, I know)

Have you load tested the batteries? Some times they can read normal voltage but still have a bad cell

    Glow Plug Conversion Questions

I apparently did not know the correct definition of "snow ball effect" and I stand corrected for using that term loosely. What I should have said is that the "poor mans effect" will happen when you replace one or two plugs VRS all eight. The original plugs will still have more resistance than...
