    M1008 Fuel Mileage

I get whatever I get, I love driving my M1009 so much that I don't even check my fuel mileage anymore. I had a 2003 VW Jetta tdi that got 50+ highway and 45 city but it was no where as fun to drive as my CUCV.

    Lights and Flashers issue..

still sounds like a bad ground in the rear taillight assembly. Try to install a temporary ground to the frame or a 12 volt power jumper to the flasher. Does the drivers side turn signal work front and back? The flashers will not work if it doesn't sense the proper voltage.

Spring has sprung and time for new springs on the CUCV's

Rick, why would you want to spend all that time and $ building a new box. If its only used for a salt/plow truck you can mount the salter directly to the truck frame. We used 6"x6" treated rails to gain the height needed. Clean and simple and easy access to the rest of the hardware below.

    M1008 Wont Start/Need Some Help

Your symptoms sounded just the same way mine did. I had 12+ volts at both batteries so thought all was good there. M1009 Electical Bizarro Problem - Need Guidance and help...!

I agree with Tim, mine had the same symptoms as yours. I checked the voltage on both batteries and they read good. So thinking the batteries were good I went on a gremlin hunt for the next 3 hrs. Was ready to bite the bullet and drop the starter but decided to Load test both batteries first. The...

Will a Cargo Cover for a HMMWV fit a 101A2

A well known auction site has two separate vendors selling NOS cargo covers for the M101A2s. Also M1008 covers will work in a pinch if you can find them. The problem there is they are just a tad short to get the rear zipper to fully close. and they have plastic windows on both ends.

Cucv purchase sight unseen, payment recommendations?

Why make it complicated, just take a day trip with a wad of cash. You shouldn't buy "sight unseen" anyway.
