Tornado mod is an add on pre cleaner in place on the intake bonnet / cap. Manufacturer (various) claim increased dust and debris catching / cleaning thru a self powered spinning of a turbo fan wheel / vortex, expelling dirt and sending cleaner air down the pipe to regular filter.
They have...
Nothing a little black tape wouldn't fix. Wrap the bulb or LED so only the tip is clear or slip a plastic sippy straw over it or peice of shrink sleeve or paint it out a bit or ....
Cat skinning is easy. Light dimming easier, CAMO
Not making a PLUG for Permatex. They have over a hundred kinds of sealants to stick, seal, goop up and get on your clothes. Could be a marketing plan or just maybe a chemical reason ???

They all cost about the same, so there must...
Some of those "RTV"s don't play well with gear oil. I have seen where a black RTV was used to seal a differential having issues you describe after a week later.
Check the label for compatibility, CAMO
Not a Hummwv "life coach"... but a bad idea for all the reasons posted. The cool factor on the outside could be the fool factor when one gets to the nut and bolts of these old rigs. For one's personal safety AND those on the road, there are a LOT of things that NEED to be inspected. There is...
I was scratching my head on this disabled fan thing too?? I have never had cooling issues here in the Mojave Desert where in is 115 degrees easy. When moving, air is directed and pulled thru radiators "fan box / venturi action". When needed or stopped the fan kicks in drawing huge air thru...
I don't think anything was original when I purchased mine, except the rivets. I wouldn't be surprised... if it could be changed, swapped, unbolted, disconnected or just plan messed with, it was at least three times... keeping GI Joe busy.
Those with super low mileage more than likely won an...
Take a look at the third link I listed above. There's a lot going on with 4l80E's. The info is very in-depth. My quick review, I would look at page 122 after all the simple battery and grounds inputs are met. Good luck.
Simple when it all works, CAMO

Not sure on the 100 amp alternator. I think ?? (sometimes) that it is a odd ball unit with not as many out there. Could be expensive$$ ? Might be time to go with what fits? If a 60 or 200 amp unit will drop into existing hardware? IMO. Wiring should be easiest part.
Trying to hold on to...
Note that the 60 AMP alternator have a little more going on inside with mechanical and electrical issues. Brushes will wear, weak springs, dirty slip rings can lead to wonky (technical term) output. Where as the 200 amp units are of a brushless design eliminating these wear items. Nice to...
Mr. T, What tweaking to the transfer case can get you to 70 MPH and stay below the governor. You coasting down a steep hill. lol
55 and stay out of my way, CAMO
Depends on altitude and how pump was set-up. Happy medium setting of IP pump between sea level and 4000 feet. Pretty much normal for NA 6.2's. Mine too, a little puff now and then. No old school bus smoker. Take it up to higher elevations with those mixture setting and lack of air, it will...
