Brandon, I think your request is for an M35A2 engine (LDT?)? I have not verified at all that this alternator will fit the location. It should, but I believe the LDT and NHC 250 both use a double V pulley with more standoff to it (taller hat portion). I don't have that pulley. If your can be...
Cascade powder automatic dish washing detergent and hot water. Pour it in, drive it 20 minutes, pull the lower hose, repeat. Don't drain on concrete, it will stain. Comes out as rusty water.
Everybody is fine, some of my best friends in this thread. Let us know how it works. Holset is supposed to be lagging in technology compared to BW, so we're staying tuned....
The turbo bought above is not ball bearing. It is traditional floating sleeve bearing. Ceramic ball bearing turbos are really only 1/2 true, or at least they used to be, because they only use the ball bearing on the colder compressor side of the turbo. Hot side has always been floating...
Good news for others. Some additional digging reveals that you can do this with the hand prime button and not 300psi. Simply remove the delivery valve core from the delivery valve holder, which is directly under where the injector line attaches to the pump. I'll probably surrender the 300psi...
Drilling cast iron only makes powder not shavings. No problem to allow this to blow through turbo on start up. It will pass through before the turbine wheel starts spinning anyway. People make a way bigger deal out of this than necessary.
On thermocouples, the smaller diameter you use, the...
I have a complete NOS fuel fired heater for sale for anybody that wants a warm cab even before the engine starts. PM for info. It is a rare complete M35A2 bed arctic heater kit, but uses the same Stewart Warner 30,000 btu fuel fired unit. People have mounted these underhood and in cab above...
Bought the 14mm banjo adapter fittings, and confirmed the electric pressure washer can be dialed down to the target 300psi. We're clear for launch. When I'm done, it will make a cool flame thrower.
Can I be a dweeb and ask why you guys need a charger at all? I'm down to only 2 batteries, and as long as they are less than 5 years old, she will crank up un-assisted even on a snowy January morning. There is no draw on the batteries when the truck is off. A truck with 4 batteries should be...
Will, that was the response I was looking for when I published that I was going to run diesel fuel through my pressure washer. :) I already bought the gear puller, so I need to get a banjo adapter fitting and a plug to block the banjo outlet port and then away we go.
Yeah. This is right out of the Cummins service manual, 300-370psi. I read where some have done it simply with the hand primer built into the fuel pump.
This will be a great one for everybody to armchair quaterback:
To do the spill port method of setting injection timing, which is supposed to be the most accurate, I need to remove the delivery valve contents, and then put a short tube in #1 injector output pump fitting, block the injection...
