I have found auction listings with NSNs that DID NOT match the item. I have also found NSNs that are just plain wrong. Most times they match the item, but not always. Be careful.

I baby my trucks because I want to keep them, not see what they can do. For that reason, I max out at 70 mph in an M1009 and 60 mph in an M1008/M1028 (although 65 and 55 respectively are about what I run them). They will definitely go faster.

What kind of HEMTT are you after? That might affect the price. I have seen serious projects go as cheaply as $20K and cherry trucks go upwards of $100K. I know where a wrecker is right now...but the guy wants a rediculous $250K!!! Plan on spending $50K or more for a running and driving...

I NEVER believe the odometer on ANY truck from the mid-80s showing less than 25K miles. On a rare occasion, the miles are correct and lower than that, but often the odometer has turned over at least once. 2200 miles on a 25 year old truck? Hard to believe. I would need to see pics of things...
